“Absolute bargain!”
+Great location, great price and lovely staff! The breakfast downstairs at GOAT was fabulous. So many eateries nearby we were spoiled for choice. Walking distance of the station and eye hospital which was handy for us! Well equipped, basic room - tea/coffee, tv, en-suite. Nice water pressure in the shower.
−For the price it was excellent, only minor gripe would be the very squeaky twin beds! Not handy for a stealth bathroom run 😆

“End of Season?”
+The room was a good size, the bed was very comfortable but overall it needed some TLC. The two staff I met were friendly but there was no one available in the morning, or any provision for buying a breakfast or asking advice from.
−As a lone travellor of a senior age,I had a feeling of isolation at night with no one around should a problem arise.

+the room was exactly as advertised, very roomy, lovely furniture. the breakfast was lovely, and the staff were brilliant. i cannot complain. they made me feel very at home.
−nothing could have been better, it is centrally located, and very easy to find. love the village, and the church. the bakery was great, with very friendly staff.

“We only stayed for a short time but Gothic hse had all we required overall great.”
+Location right in the town centre all the amenities you would expect to find in town 5 to 10 mins walk to access. Clean comfortable our stay was great.

“Adequate and convenient parking”
+The request I made about closing curtains and leaving windows open was fulfilled which was good as it was warm weather. The property owner was prompt and helpful when I emailed. It was about what I anticipated for the type of room advertised, I’m not sure about the price I don’t book with high frequency and we brought our own fan which helped. It was relatively quiet so able to sleep.
−The paper around the waste pipe for the loo could have been a bit worrying if there was a problem even tho the bathroom was super clean. The person who gave keys and showed me to the room was disinterested and claimed he had nothing to do with the room letting aspect so no idea who to contact if there happened to be an issue.

“Very disappointed”

−The room we was allocated was in a bad state of repair, the shower room ceiling and shower was very heavy in mould and had a strong smell of sewage, the toilet soil pipe was sealed with paper tissue, and the cistern was very loose. We had to keep all the windows open because of the sewage stench. The fire alarm showed a fault and had the sounders silenced, so had there been a fire how we know as the alarm didn’t seem to be working. I went back to see the gentleman that checked us in almost immediately after getting the key to the room and before I could say anything he said he was nothing to do with the rooms as he was completely separate, yet a few minutes before he had checked us in and gave us the keys,
