“The stay made up for the not so professional owner”
+Perfect location, close to everything, the amenities, clean rooms and the extra touches
−The confusion check-in process. If you have a rigid check-in time then don't ask when persons are going to arrive so that the room is ready, it wasn't. Left and came back at the check-in time &...The 'owner' arguing with customers. I checked him real quick.

“Good practical choice and excellent value for money”
+Extremely good value for money. We stayed here during Reading Festival and it was very easy to hop on the train to Reading and back. Check-in was super smooth. Everything was comfortable and quiet.
−It's basic but nothing wrong with that for the price! Good value for money.

“Clean room for a night, not good for anything longer”
+The room was clean, well kept with excellent amenities. I really liked the access to outlets, the nice clean made bed, the desk and TV. It was genuinely a nice room.
−The rest of it. 1 bathroom among 4 strangers where it isn’t cleaned properly is more than a little gross. The breakfast was little more than cereal and croissants. No one was expecting a Michelin meal, but this wasn’t that good. The dishwasher also was stained and stank, and while showering there were 2 spiders (2 separate days) in the bathroom, I couldn’t stand using it after that. Finally the walls are thin, and a 10pm curfew doesn’t stop conversation from waking people up when you want a multi day stay (anything longer than a day isn’t good)

+I liked that there was a TV, a kettle and tea in the room. The kitchen was well equipped.
−The room didn’t meet the expectation at all, way too many big furnitures and hardly any room for two people. The staff was unresponsive and there were only one set of towels for two people. We had to use the hand towel as a bath towel. As the booking was for two people, it would’ve been nice to have two towel sets. The bedding wasn’t clean, there was some mascara stain on the pillow, the window shutter was broken and fell off a couple of times. The bed had a dent in the centre which was annoying. The room doors were super loud due to the locks.

“Provided a convenient stay for us”
+The host, Philippe, was very attentive. Parking was easy. There may have been one other person staying but we didn’t see them so although our room was very snug we were able to expand into the kitchen.
−Wi-Fi was rather patchy
