+The hotel was well located with easy access to Lingering Gardens 250m, bank of China 50m and shopping centre Kmall within minutes from the hotel. However, the room wasn’t clean, the wall paper was peeled off, the air conditioner wasn’t working properly. The staff though were nice and friendly, but poor English was the main blocker for them to communicate with guests. The hotel restaurant was one of the highlights of our trip with high quality food, but their customer service could improve. Overall, the photos on the website aren’t a good representative of the room condition and cleanliness.

“Room for improvement”
+We had used this hotel before so this was a return visit but that won't happen again. Breakfast was not so good - few western choices although the hotel now seems to cater for western tour groups. At check out we were asked to pay for a glass which they claimed we had broken - a very grubby cracked glass was produced as "evidence". We had not broken a glass but reception persisted - even calling in the maid. It was an unpleasant experience. The hotel is in a hard location to hail a taxi but has no system for calling a taxi for you. This is a problem if you are trying to get to the airport or station.
