+It's a small hotel with the husband and wife owners doing all of the work. They are exceedingly nice, helpful, and accommodating and speak native English. After we got there, Elisabeth texted us a huge list of information about where to go and what to see. It was my birthday and I wanted to try waigu beef. They went far out of their way to get us a reservation at a beef restaurant that was fully booked. Beautiful location on a hill in the woods, super clean, private outdoor hot tub that you can reserve. Highly recommend. Would definitely go back there if I'm in the area.

“Private house with onsen and kind owners”
+The owners were very accommodating to me . Elizabeth planned an itinerary and gave me a ride to town each day. The breakfast was very good. The onsen was perfect at the end of a walking day as well. I am so glad I booked here.

+Satoshi and Elizabeth were perfect hosts and perfectly fluent in English. The accommodations were great, and the food was even better. We stayed two nights and had breakfast and dinner every morning and evening and could not have been happier with our meals. There were four of us traveling together and everyone in our party felt the same way. The evenings were quiet and relaxing in the beautiful house. Do not miss out on the food!

“English speaking hosts that can provide great recommendations, this is the place to stay!”
+We didn't reserve any meals in advance but the owner provided tons of recommendations that were wonderful. It was amazing timing that they were able to secure us a last minute reservation at a wonderful Wagyu place not far from their location. The food was impeccible! I really appreciate the proximity to most of the "things to do" in Nikko and the local recommendations provided in English via WhatsApp. The owners are very kind and accomodating. Highly recommended if you want to experience a B&B in a forest area with cute private onsens to take advantage of.
−I would recommend that they provide robes for the private onsens. I was not aware that they wouldn't have them, or else I would have made sure to pack. But, we are also considered "local" to Japan since we live only 2.5 hour drive away. Most travelers coming in from out of Japan would probably not pack a robe to use. To make it the most relaxing experience, most people would not want to peel off their clothes, shower, soak, shower again ~ and put on that same clothes - especially after sweating it can be challenging.

“Sehr individuelle Unterkunft mit eigenem Charme”
+Das privatgeführte Gästehaus ist sehr individuell und urig und mit vielen interessanten Kuriositäten, die die Gastgeber im Laufe der Jahre gesammelt haben, dekoriert. Liz ist als Gastgeberin rührend um ihre Gäste bemüht und hat uns sogar zu einem der Tempel mit ihrem Auto gefahren. Ihr japanischer Partner ist für die Küche zuständig und kocht ausgezeichnet. Unbedingt Dinner vorbestellen, es lohnt sich und wird pünktlich um 7 Uhr auf den Tisch gestellt.
−Es war etwas abgelegen, dafür schön im Grünen. Die Badezimmer sind sehr enge Nasszellen und die Zimmer etwas vollgestellt.
