“Accomodation in need of renovations”
+Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, it’s a very central location.
−The accomodation is in need of upgrades. Room had a strange musty smell which we suspect was the carpet. Lots of dead bugs when you open the windows. On our last morning we also discovered someone else’s bra was left in one of the cupboards, so I’m skeptical of if things are always checked or cleaned. On our last night we heard an extremely loud fan exhaust for a few hours which made the bathroom wall vibrate from the noise. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for renovations during our time there, which meant we had to go into town to get a meal. For $350 a night for the king suite we expected something better, however I believe you’re paying for the location.

“Perfect place to stay in Strahan, Tasmania.”
+We received the friendliest welcome from staff member Debbie at hotel that we have ever had. She was extremely polite, informative and helpful. My wife had a sprained ankle at the time & she brought her ice throughout our stay to reduce the swelling around my wife’s ankle. The Franklin Manor is a beautiful Colonial style building with very comfortable rooms. The manor has two beautifully furnished sitting rooms with fireplaces and a pool room. It is in a quiet location. We did not dine at the manor so I can’t comment about their food. I rate this stay very highly.

+Great staff - we were very well-looked after and nothing appeared to be too much trouble Fabulous food and wine Great ambience in the hotel
−The water in the bathroom was warm, but not hot, which made it difficult to have a hot bath after a day out exploring the area.

“Franklin manor disappointed”
+The lounge areas were lovely and open fireplace
−Very expensive for such a small room. It seems that if you book on their website you get breakfast included however if you book on another platform at the same value you do not get breakfast included. Very disappointing

“Super friendly staff and lovely room and decor, book now!”
+The young French lady at the front desk couldn’t be more helpful, the room was very cute and clean, and the Manor itself was very well kept. The longue rooms with the fire going was a plus! We got ourselves a wine and read a book for a while.

“Strahan is such a beautify town - the boat tour and train ride are a must do.”
+The location was excellent, walking distance to shops and main centre. The food and service at the restaurant was excellent, all fresh and local produced, but quite costly. We had breakfast there but found meals were way out of our reach. Matthew and Emma were such beautiful people and took extra care of us during our stay.
−You had to be very mindful to keep the volume done because rooms were not sound proof and the lay out of the room wasn't the best, to watch tv from the bed, was uncomfortable because the bed was on the side.
