1.0−He did not open the door or provide the passcode, even though I had informed him that I would arrive late and take a taxi from the airport to the location. I called him and knocked on the door, but without success. In the end, I had no choice but to go to another hotel and pay over €100 for accommodation

10.0“Fantastic place and great concept”
+Once you understand the concept it is a fantastic place to stay.
−It was a bit uncomfortable at first to follow the concept but soon enough I felt right at home.

3.0−I am giving this a 3, but honestly, it’s worth less. This is not a holiday accommodation; it’s a strict military bootcamp. If you want to relax, avoid this place. The facilities are poor, there was no hot water, so I had to take cold showers. The absolute worst part is the extreme monitoring and absurd cleaning rules. You are expected to wipe down the shower and sink completely dry with a tiny cloth after every use. I did not ignore these rules and cleaned up after myself, but apparently, my efforts were never 'good enough' for them. You are constantly watched, and there is a massive double standard: other guests left water everywhere and weren't bothered at all, while I was constantly scrutinized. I actually booked another place and left early just to have some peace. To put it gently, the overall standards of this place are quite low, both in terms of cleanliness and the hosts' behavior. If the owner defends himself by citing his rules, fine, but the atmosphere here feels more like a homeless shelter, which you normally wouldn't pay for, and where they at least provide hot water. Spend your money where you are treated like a welcome guest.

9.0“Unique place…”
+A huge, bright room with comfortable beds, each equipped with privacy curtains and a personal reading light overhead and a big fridge .For just six hostel guests, there are three toilets, secure lockers for your belongings, and a door leading directly to a small garden where you can enjoy a coffee while watching the lively activity of wild birds. The location is excellent , only a seven-minute walk from the train station and town centre, with plenty of large supermarkets nearby….. This hostel has its own character , it’s not a sterile white room that feels like a hospital. The spacious common area features an interesting clock, a very unusual antique stove, and a unique heating system. This is not a hostel where everything is brand new and shiny, but rather a place that values its heritage, cares about the environment, and offers a sense of stability and authenticity….Don’t be put off by Franks questions and his rules. He is a friendly guy who cares about his place but expressed it in the unusual way. The hostel worth every penny. Recommend…
−I wish there will be a microwave…..

7.0“Ok did the job”
+I arrived late and both bottom beds were taken. Im a big guy and the top bunk wont hold me. Frankie was fine with me taking the bed matress in the other room with plenty of space. Also sleeping on the floor with this matress was great for my lower back issues as well.
−Im greek ... we are born to break rules live as free beings. Dutch or west european culture is different where people obey rules. I found the booking questionnairres and rules a bit too OCD and strict and made me feel uncomfortable. For others this could be fine i think its a cultural issue rather than a property issue.

10.0“Had a great stay”
+Frank accommodation is different than the regular ones we're used to go when we travel, it's an interesting concept that he's made and once you understand how it works (after it has been explained to you) it offers a great space to be used. He has a wide perspective and shares it greatly! Accommodation is quite spaceous, it has different areas, and after comprehending some rules you need to follow in order for it to work since it has no staff you can roam comfortably. My stay was very positive, I really enjoyed the light that came in the space and the precious garden, and the interiors felt very warm and cozy aswell. Town is very pretty too and walkable, and train line is well conected.

1.0−Excuse me, I am a foreign traveler who has journeyed more than 11,000 kilometers across two continents. I arrived in the Netherlands hoping to explore, but on the day of my reservation, the owner told me he was tired of customers like me who waste his time. I was traveling and couldn’t read his emails because I didn’t have internet access. Before judging someone, you should first try to understand their situation. Even worse, he left me out on the street. I was alone, exhausted, and unable to do anything. It was one of the worst moments of my life. I called him many times, but he never answered. His behavior was very rude, and if this is how guests are treated, it is better not to come to this place. Even in Brooklyn or at the Red Cross, people treat you better than this owner.
