“Good stay”
+Guest house is in an older building but rooms were clean and comfortable and there was a good choice for breakfast. It's ideally situated for train station and only a few minutes walk to the market square. The hosts were great and very generously let us check out later as our train wasn't leaving until the afternoon. It was good value for money too.
−Nothing about the guest house. The only issue for us was difficulty getting a taxi back to the station and there are no buses running on Sunday so make sure to book early if you need taxis.

+Mark the owner was exceptionally helpful and friendly. He very kindly accepted our booking late on in the evening of our actual stay, as we had to find alternative accommodation as our original booking at another property let us down very badly. We were attending a family christening the following day in Malton and Mark also very kindly let us have a late checkout. We would definitely stay there again, it's a very nice friendly and welcoming guesthouse. Lovely cooked breakfast to order and plenty of choice.
−Nothing - Mark and his staff were great.

“Excellent. Would definitely stay again.”
+Asked for an easy to access room for my mother who has limited mobility. Was given a double room right by the door with level access, grab rails in the ensuite, a walk in shower without a step, a plastic chair that could be moved into the shower so mother could shower sitting down. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast delicious.
−Mostly everything was great. Only slight negative was that the single room for myself was uninspiring. But it had everything required for a comfortable night, so not that much of a negative really.
