“The staff were welcoming and helpful ans will definitely be back again”
+The location was exceptional, and the blend of the historic castle and the surrounding modern new-builds created a unique atmosphere. Everything came together beautifully, giving the hotel a wonderful balance of old world charm and contemporary style.
−I loved everything

“80th Birthday celebration at the Fonab Castle”
+Great location and views, facilities, quality, staff helpful and polite. The hotel arranged a cake for my dad’s birthday. They were also very accommodating and helpful with my mum who is disabled(inc finding a more accessible room). All contributed to a great 80th birthday celebration! Many thanks!

“The castle anda bit overstated in their promotion but we had good stay.”
+Great location and friendly staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Wanted a view of the Loch rather than parking lot and hot water for shower was difficult to adjust but other than that the room was good. Although our wait was long, the food was excellent.
−I didn’t know there was an option to upgrade our view when booked although I had requested a view facing the water. Our rooms faced parking area within the Woodland Lodge extension which a 2 story contemporary structure. Apparently are only 13 rooms within the castle. I booked this several months before I arrival so would have been nice to know more about where we were going to stay within the layout.

“A hotel offering good facilities. Excellent food and outstanding staff”
+Staff, service and food were exceptional
−I thought that the lounge area was rather cold and uninviting and disabled access into reception was not ideal

“Disappointing and poor value compared to previous visits. Feedback given directly on check out.”
+Location and setting. Food for dinner and breakfast was excellent.
−Clearly short staffed. I had to hunt for someone to serve us in the lounge late afternoon. Took 45 mins to take our order at dinner with no drinks other than the initial water on sitting down. Staff clearly working hard and nice people but need help and hotel losing money as no one around to serve us.

“Really disappointed”
+Room was great
−For the star rating and price of the hotel the staff were not up to standard. Restaurant was poor, tables not cleared and the service was definitely not 5 stars. I would have been happy had the cost been around £150-£200 but it was significantly higher more than double. Very disappointing as we had been looking g forward to this for sometime.

“Who wouldn't love to stay in a real castle? Great location, friendly staff, gorgeous views”
+Room was very nice; had a beautiful view from the sliding door onto the property. Absolutely loved the upper bar...panoramic view overlooking the water. Dinner and breakfast was delicious! Great location.
−Not sure if it is a code thing in Scotland...but there are no outlets for a blowdryer, etc in the bathrooms. Also, the front desk is not stocked with amenities, like shaving cream, etc. That would be my only complaint and that is a minor one.
