10.0“Like Staying with a No-Drama Grandma”
+Anne, who runs the B&B, is an absolute legend and an incredible character and person. Staying at the Folly B&B is like staying with your grandma without any family dynamics or dramas to navigate! She runs such a warm feeling accommodation. We loved sitting in her garden enjoying the view, and chatting with Anne and hearing about her incredible life. Anne phoned me before we arrived checking how we were travelling to her, giving advice on the hot weather (she doesn't have AC, which is totally fair enough) and even offering to collect us when we said we were coming by public transport (bus from Norwich and train from London to Beccles then taxi). Anne even dropped us off in town on our first evening when we went for dinner. Anne takes a genuine and unimposing interest in your life and is a very interesting lady to get to know too, she's had an incredible life travelling! Breakfast was amazing, so delicious! The bed was comfortable, and generally we just felt totally welcomed and at home almost instantly. It is also a super peaceful place to stay, I can imagine staying there just to get some countryside peace and quiet! I don't think I heard a single noise at night. The bed in the dou
−This is only a very minor point: - If you don't have a car, the walk into Bungay town centre is a little bit of an adventure! As the quickest route is to walk through the woods on a trail path. Not an issue for us, and I'm sure there's a longer way around that uses actual pavements. We traversed the woods perfectly safely with no issues when coming back in the dark, but we did need a torch haha (phone torch was fine). But we're from the countryside so this didn't bother us at all, and you can see clearly from the map location what the distance is from town. It's about a 20 minute walk if taking the woodland path, and you do go uphill on the walk from Bungay to Folly B&B.

10.0“This was traditional bed and breakfast in a charming private home. Ann was a thoughtful and fun host”
+Delicious and varied breakfasts served in the conservatory overlooking the garden and woods. The room was spotless, tea making facilities with bone china cups, spacious shower, friendly welcome, outside private seating in a pretty garden. What more could you want?
−Nothing. Ann went out of her way to make sure everything was just right.

10.0“A beautiful experience for all 5 senses, Ann is a rare gem”
+Ann is an exceptional hostess, a glorious colourful force of nature! Her beautiful home is welcoming and beautiful, and my room (the single) was peaceful but looking out over her sumptuous garden. Her breakfasts are not only tasty with the very best ingredients, but the presentation on the breakfast table is a delight to the senses. I cannot praise her highly enough. She is a kind, fun gorgeous lady and has the best stories l.

9.0+Ann takes great pride in her home, and it reflects her style and personality. She was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area, which was very helpful. Our room was light and airy, with a huge comfortable bed. It is not en-suite but we had a private bathroom opposite. Guests also have use of a lovely large conservatory with views over the garden and down the valley. Breakfast is served there. It was delicious and plentiful and my dietary needs were well catered for. The accommodation reflects Ann's style, with eclectic art and furnishings collected over her life and travels. It is not a minimalist style, and those who prefer that simplicity would perhaps not enjoy it as much as we did. We loved everything about our stay and our host, who was delightful company. We would definitely book again.
