“Good location but better value for money and easier checking in experiences available in Rome.”
+Location is great .
−After booking I had to arrange a late check in . This wasn’t an easy request and I had to get booking.com involved or I would have lost the full amount of the booking(1500 euros ) the latest check in is 7:30pm which is very early in Europe and then you have to pay an extra 30euro even if you arrive at 8pm . Please be careful for this . The breakfast is not worth it . Very cheap pre packaged foods where there are signs everywhere telling you to eat in your room and leave your dirty dishes in your room (so the dirty dishes can be in your room for over 5/6 hours before they are cleaned )Very weird experience for the price that we paid :(

−There are a few issues . Breakfast is very poor . The cheapest pre packaged processed foods available . Strict rules on eating in room and leaving dishes in room (which in hot weather is not very nice) I had to pay for late check in at 8pm after having many requests that were rejected (NOTE LATESTS CHECK IN IS 7:30pm ) . I eventually called booking.com to get an 8pm check in sorted and was greeted by not the friendliest guy who wanted to talk about himself and his opinions on Rome a lot . Very strange . The rooms are clean and quiet . Definitely better more hospitable guest houses in Rome for the same money . We were booking quiet last minute

“Excellent location, superb host”
+Superb location for The Vatican, few minutes walk from Metro Chiara welcomed us in person and was extremely helpful, phoning a local restaurant to make a reservation for lunch on the day we arrived. She also gave us a list of recommended restaurants to try during our visit. There are so many restaurants in Rome it was very useful to know which ones were slightly off the main tourist drag, reasonably priced and offering delicious food. We ate at No 1 on her list, twice, the meatballs were fantastic, as was the pizza. Chiara also kindly booked a taxi to the airport for us, which arrived on time. She also gave us a detailed map and talked us through the areas to visit, and helpfully explained how long roughly it would take to walk to the key places. The bed was a king size and very comfortable . The bedroom was simply furnished but spotlessly clean.
−The communal kitchen is right next to the bedrooms. As early risers, we might have disturbed the other guests as we made our breakfasts and we were able to hear the guests coming back to the apartment in the evening. A kettle would have been useful in the kitchen- we had to boil the water for our tea in the microwave. Again, the ping of the microwave might have disturbed the other guests, perhaps? However, Rome is so exhausting, they probably slept through!

+Beautiful, spacious room with lovely solid wood furniture and a very nice overall aesthetic. Everything was clean and well maintained. The location was great and the air conditioning was a huge plus, especially with temperatures reaching almost 40°C. Overall, the room itself was beautiful, comfortable and a very pleasant place to stay.
−The main downside was the bathroom setup. Our private bathroom was located outside the room, directly off the shared kitchen area. This meant that every time you needed to use the bathroom - even first thing in the morning, possibly still in your pyjamas - you had to walk through the kitchen while other guests might be sitting there having breakfast. It felt a little awkward and lacked privacy. However, this only applied to our room - the other rooms had private en-suite bathrooms. So if this is important to you, I would definitely recommend choosing one of those rooms. Another downside was the relatively high additional fee for arriving outside the designated check-in hours. They did accommodate our late arrival, which we appreciated, but if you know you will be arriving late, I would probably recommend choosing a hotel with a 24-hour reception instead. This accommodation works more like an Airbnb or guesthouse, with specific check-in hours, rather than a traditional hotel.

“Pleasant despite the lack of air conditioning. I would return in cooler climates.”
+I loved the proximity of the B&B, attention to details by the owner. They were kind, very helpful and accommodating.
−The air conditioning didn’t work during a heat wave. It turned on but needs Freon and was not cooling the room 90% of the time, which made our stay uncomfortable during 90 degree weather. I asked for a fan and was told no.

+We had an amazing stay in Rome! The location was perfect, and we absolutely loved the apartment. Our host was wonderful,very attentive, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. Everything was excellent, and we would definitely recommend this place. We would happily stay here again!

“Einfach wunderbar”
+Zentrale Lage, sehr nette Vermieterin mit vielen tollen Tipps, danke.schöne Unterkunft. Unkompliziertes Check in und beim Checkout durften wir das Gepäck noch da lassen was uns sehr geholfen hat. Danke vielmals!
−Frühstück war sehr einfach gehalten. Essen im Zimmer war gewöhnungsbedürftig vor allem da Tische in der Küche vorhanden, aber das positive überwiegt bei weitem!

+Un soggiorno davvero piacevole! La persona che ci ha ospitato è stata estremamente gentile, calorosa e premurosa, sempre attenta a ogni piccolo dettaglio. La camera era pulitissima, luminosa, confortevole e accogliente, con un’atmosfera che ti fa sentire subito a casa. Ho apprezzato particolarmente il fascino dell’architettura romana classica e le caratteristiche pareti in mattoni rossi a vista, che rendono l’ambiente davvero unico e suggestivo. Un posto pieno di charme, in cui tornerei molto volentieri. Assolutamente consigliato!
