“Ilonka is a very friendly and helpful host in a lovely rural location for exploring Andalucia.”
+Location is rural with the main town of Alora about 20 minutes drive. Very peaceful. Lovely garden areas. Lots of wild birds, neighbouring ducks, peacocks, chickens and dogs. Ilonka's own dog Monica is a little darling. We paid for our first morning breakfast on site, continental style, as we had booked the appartment where breakfast was not included. Breakfast portions were good for two people. The apartment was tastefully renovated from a stable block and was very clean and fresh inside. There was an oven, induction hob, sink/drainer, kettle, coffee pod machine and all necessary utensils, crockery and cutlery. Also free wifi and a smart tv with netflix access. The bathroom included hand and bath towels, shampoo, shower gel, hand wash and toilet paper. The bedroom included a large double bed, wardrobe, side tables, two armchairs and a floor standing electric fan. There was a basket with free paperbook books to enjoy in various languages. llonka was very helpful in getting us settled in and letting us know about local supermarkets and transport options. She also explained that regrettably, and due to the exceptional heat of the summer, she had had to introduce a pay-as-you-stay fee
−Being a rural property we did experience mozzies at night and early hours of the morning. My partner was fine but they did seem to love me so although we tried all sorts of remedies, the mozzies found me most nights. Can I respectfully ask if it would be possible to provide mosquito nets over the bed? Or perhaps mozzie screens over the windows and door areas for use at night? This was the only issue that affected us during our stay.

“Heaven in the hills”
+The property and grounds are immaculate a true oasis. The pool is stunning. The host went above and beyond for us. The breakfast was way above our expectations.

+Empfang herzlich Lage top Gelände gepflegt und wunderschön Frühstück am Pool - es hat an nichts gefehlt Kühlschrank im Aussenbereich , sodass man Lebensmittel kühlen kann Getränke gegen Gebühr vom Gastgeber zu haben

“Erholungsoase”
+Ein willkommener Rückzugsort zum relaxen. Das Frühstück auf der Terrasse. Pool und Anlage.
−Man braucht definitiv ein Auto. Das Zimmer bietet nicht viel Platz für zwei Personen. Da wir viel am Pool waren, hat es uns aber nicht gestört.

+Estaba en un lugar tranquilo
−Todo mal. El aire acondicionado es de pago, pese a que está especificado aquí en booking, nos resultó muy violento que cuando ya nos íbamos, nos dijo que teníamos que abonar la cantidad en efectivo, suerte que llevábamos algo de dinero encima pero nadie nos avisó que se tenía que pagar en efectivo. La anfitriona vive ahí, por lo que es bastante incómodo, ya que se pasea por ahí y da la sensación que te está vigilando todo el rato. Otro detalle que no nos gustó nada fue nada más llegar nos dijo una serie de cosas que no podíamos hacer (no podíamos dejar que su perro entrara en la habitación), recalcó lo del aire acondicionado, dando la sensación de que había muchas reglas que teníamos que seguir. Otro punto fue que estaba todo el rato hablándonos en inglés pese a estar en Álora, nosotros ser españoles y ella hablar perfectamente español. Para finalizar, cuando ya nos íbamos nos dijo que iba a mirar cuando kilovatios habíamos gastado para que le pagáramos, justo antes de irnos, dando la sensación de que no se fiaba de nosotros, además que nos hizo que le diéramos los DNI justo antes de irnos (esto se hace al principio, precisamente para no estar molestando).
