“Very expensive and not worth the money.”
+The location is great. Beautiful views around and next to some nice trails
−The place is extremely expensive and surely not worth the money. The bathroom wall was full of hair, which was disgusting. You are supposed to bring your own food because there are no places to eat around (if you don't have a car) but they don't tell you that you should also bring everything you need to cook and eat your food. I brought very simple instant noodles but there were no bowls and no cutlery to eat. Also, the breakfast they give is very small and bad quality. On the first day I waited for the breakfast which was supposed to be brought at 7:30am. The girl arrived at 8am with no breakfast, only a 100twd voucher for 7/11. I paid 6000twd for 2 nights there and the breakfast is a 100twd for 7/11?? The second day they brought the breakfast I ordered but the portion was very small and the omelette was not good at all. I booked this place because it's considered a home stay and I was looking forward to meet the old guy other reviews talked about and have some self growed tea from there, but that didn't happen. I would surely not recommend this place.

+Really beautiful spot. Such a gorgeous area and you have perfect access to the trails. The man who runs it is very nice and helpful. Taiwanese breakfast was delicious.
−Needs better access for drinking water in the rooms. And hand soap at sink.

“Amazing host and peaceful stay”
+Great host who came to pick us up from bus station and brought us back once we were leaving. Beautiful views around, very peaceful and quiet. Without luggage it is easy to walk down to the town where there are good connections to Alishan forest. Nice brealfast and were also offered to taste local tea.

+very warm hosts, went out of their way to be helpful despite the language barrier. simple facilities, but spotlessly clean. a nice breakfast delivered every morning. a few things within the room such as fittings could be improved, but overall we were very happy with the accommodation.
−the only problem i had was with the payment. the owners of this accommodation expect to be paid in cash upon arrival. they do not accept credit cards and we only got to know of this while we were already enroute from taipei. if this fact were clearly mentioned on the website at the time of booking, we would have been prepared. running around chiayi to exchange currency was not something i enjoyed doing.

“Our best stay in Taiwan”
+Oh my word - what a find. An old rustic tea plantation house in a beautiful setting. The host was a delight - we communicated via google translate over a tea ceremony! No facilities locally - would need a car to get dinner but an absolute delight

+Schöne Lage, inmitten der Teefelder, empfehlenswert mit dem Auto anzureisen, so ist man flexibel. Der Gastgeber war sehr freundlich und gab uns noch ein Teatasting. Sehr leckeres Frühstück. Danke für den angenehmen Aufenthalt!
