“An Excellent location”
+The Guesthouse was in an ideal location for accessing Husavik, and Akureyri and was also a few minutes away from Godafoss. The property was extremely clean. The bedroom was comfortable. The shared kitchen had everything you could need to prepare a meal and plenty of space
−We felt like we were intruding in the dining and lounge area with the owners being in there a lot of the time. There was also another couple there with their child. They may have been related, or, if not, seemed to know the owners well as they ate together in the evening and sprawled out on the sofa. Because of this, we tended to eat quickly and go back to our bedroom. Our stay was not made any more comfortable as another couple were also staying there with their child and both kids just ran around the lounge and dining area playing and screaming a lot of the time. The second night I literally had to wear earplugs while eating as I suffer from hyper sensitivity in one ear. Hence, because of this personal experience I have given a relatively low score for the property but I dare say at a different times things may well have been different. I can only comment and score on my time there

“Good for 1 night but can't recommend for a long stay”
+Comfy, clean rooms and convenient location. Kitchen is well equipped. Good for 1 night but not more.
−First time in my travel life I was greeted with "Who are you?" rather than normal greeting - it felt odd and unwelcome. Price felt a bit high for rooms with shared kitchen (in the house which you share with hosts, so you have rules like time for cooking and arriving, appliance usage etc). I didn't feel comfortable because the hosts attitude felt intrusive. There were no general waste bin (or we haven't been told where it is), only recycling which was not suitable for everything. Couldn't use the freezer.

“Highly recommended”
+Convenient location near route 1 between Husavik and Myvatn. The hosts were wonderful, friendly and helpful. The house is unique, a charming interpretation of the classic Icelandic turf house on the outside with all-modern amenities inside, an ideal combination of traditional and new. This was a favorite stop on my trip!

“From the warm welcome, this country home set in nature was perfect. Thank you to the lovely hosts.”
+A beautiful and thoughtfully designed house featuring modern kitchen and interior furnishings. The ensuite bedroom was very comfortable and private. A charming aspect, as well as environmental friendly, is the traditional turf roof.

+Emplacement idéal pour aller : Godafoss, lac Myvatn, Hverir, Krafla, Husavik et pour des randos. Situé au milieu des plants de myrtilles et des oiseaux. Habitation atypique lumineuse, chaleureuse et confortable Hôtes bienveillants, amoureux de leur île d adoption, parlant français, anglais, italien etc. parfait pour avoir toutes les informations que vous vous posez sur la vie en Islande. Bref séjour inoubliable : un grand merci. Message perso : les baleines nombreuses étaient au rendez-vous pour Agathe 🤗
