9.0“Great .. peaceful and clean”
+We had a wonderful stay in this lovely hut in Rye. My son loved it so much that he said he wanted to stay for a whole week! The view was absolutely amazing, with beautiful rolling hills and sheep nearby. It was so peaceful and lovely to be surrounded by nature. The hut was spotlessly clean, the bedding was comfortable, and the facilities were good, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Unfortunately, we weren't very lucky with the weather, but that didn't stop us from enjoying the experience.
−Unfortunately, we weren't very lucky with the weather. Not only we had to carry all our luggage and belongings , but also the rubbish bins to the car park area in stormy weather, which was quite challenging! Check in time 3pm and check out 11am. A bit too short for us.

10.0“unusual, thoughtfully and beautifully crafted, quirky and comfortable”
+Huts were well spaced you weren't aware of the others in the woods. Really well designed so felt quite roomy, very comfortable, well equipped and well designed/crafted.
−There were a few quirks, but that's because each hut is original and handmade. Could have been made clearer when booking that there is no mains power and they are off-grid, but that would not have put us off - it was part of what made the stay special.

5.0“Nice view, average cabin”
+I liked the setting, it’s a lovely view but if you want it to be completely private this isn’t the case but it is still very quiet and peaceful.
−Really low ceilings in bedroom/upstairs so my mum hit her head really hard because you can’t stand up straight if u are over 5 foot tall. We are 5 foot 3. The staircase is dangerous and not appropriate for children, the elderly or anyone with mobility issues. It was a treat for my mum who does have mobility issues so was far from ideal. The bed creaks every time you move, so it wakes you up every time you turn so I ended up in the single bed and my mum pretty much slept upright on the sofa. We couldn’t get the fridge to work, and gave up after 20 mins of trying to do it from the instructions given on the sheet in the cabin. There was no tea or milk, so some long life milk and tea bags wouldn’t go a miss. I would say finding and entering the cabin wasn’t too bad so I didn’t have to call or bother anyone but it’s doubtful I’ll be back. I’ve stayed in much nicer cabins for the same money. It is good that it sleeps 4 but I wouldn’t stay there with children, more appropriate for a girls night. Instructions were to strip the bed and dispose of rubbish and leave everything clean and tidy which we did. The recommended pub the plough really is a good though, with amazing food and service.

7.0“Enjoyable but would have been enhanced with certain improvements (see above)”
+Breakfast - fair Location- v good
−Facilities were a bit lacking - no hooks or towel rail in bathroom No bedside tables No wardrobe or even a rail upstairs to hang clothes No light near single bed to allow for reading Outdoor furniture- a bit sparse Sink placed over toilet - not ideal Should have been more ventilation in bathroom A welcome pack in kitchen would have been very welcome!

8.0“Beautiful, peaceful setting, but the lack of basic amenities made the stay less comfortable than exp”
+The location is absolutely beautiful. The hut is surrounded by forest and has a stunning, peaceful view, with sheep right next door, which was especially lovely while having breakfast. The beds were also comfortable, and the whole setting is very quiet and secluded.
−That said, I found some of the practical aspects of the stay quite difficult. Personally, I found the hut quite hard to find, especially after a long journey. There were also no regular sockets to plug things into, only a USB connection, which unfortunately actually drained my phone battery overnight rather than charging it. I was given a backup generator, but I wasn't really sure how to use or connect it, and in the end I gave up and went into town to charge both my phone and laptop. The hot water was another issue. I found that the water became cold after around 30 seconds, which made showering quite difficult and was particularly uncomfortable given the weather.I also found the amount of rules around the stay a little stressful. It felt quite strongly like a self-cleaning setup, and by the end I felt more preoccupied with making sure everything was done correctly than simply relaxing and enjoying the experience. The weather also wasn't on our side, with one full day of rain, which obviously didn't help when you're staying somewhere so connected to the outdoors.

8.0“The place if perfect to relax but you need to bring your powerbanks as the USB charging port is very slow charging.”
+The place was perfect for stargazing and cozy bonfire nights. It was relaxing and peaceful, away from the crowd. We would definitely go back again and would highly recommend this place. The view from the house was truly amazing! We definitely enjoyed every bit of it!
−The only thing we did not expect was the USB charging port for our phones were not charging properly and takes hours to charge with only a few percentage. We only saw 2 charging ports. Good thing we had brought powerbanks to charge our phones in case of emergencies and we had to go in a cafe to charge both our phones and powerbanks on the second day. Also, there was no place for hanging your towels or clothes inside the bathroom/toilet. For finding the location, it is best to just type in google maps, “Extraordinary Huts” and it will appear exactly where the car park is. We got lost on the very first day and had to walk back up to the road.

7.0“Peaceful stay in the countryside with a walkable pub”
+Very peaceful location overlooking fields. Bed was comfy and sheets were nice. Lots of hot water. There’s a path to the Plough pub so you only have to be on the road for a short time. The food at the pub was excellent.
−The bathroom needs some attention, the drain backs up when you shower and everything gets wet. Maybe just the nature of a small space but fixing the drain would help.
