“Very good hotel that’s very well located and has a fabulous breakfast”
+The hotel is very well located. Everything important is easy to reach by walking and it’s near a lot of restaurants and shops. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast at Yphes restaurant - which is amazing! - is very good and tasteful. The room is large, clean and comfortable, and has all the amenities you will need.
−The hotel has no lift and despite the help of the staff with the luggage, it’s not the best for any who have some difficulty.

“Highly recommend due to comfort of room, great staff and very central location.”
+The room was very spacious as was the bed. The high ceilings were lovely. Lots of power points. The air conditioning was very effective. Very modern renovation of an old building retaining the character. Very delcious and generous breakfast. Staff were very accommodating with an early check and welcome complimentary coffee. Late check out was also accommodated.
−Staff carried out cases up the stairs so not a problem for us.

“Fabulous stay at Emerald Hotel.. a botique feel kinda spot with a yummy breakfast included!”
+We loved Emerald Hotel! The decor is beautiful, great wardrobe space, big bed and the air conditioning was just right - not too cold. The location is fab.. close to the metro, good food spots and night life but a tad quieter than other spots we have stayed at which we enjoyed. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

+Great location for exploring the city. Easy walking distance to Syntagma Station. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The room was surprisingly big by European standards. We arrived before check in time but they stored our luggage and took it to our room for us. That was nice since there are no elevators.
−Nothing, we enjoyed our stay. I will say it’s a lively area so expect street noise. It didn’t bother us, but might bother others.

“Pleasant enough!”
+The gentleman who was on reception was very kind and helpful, took our bags up etc. He was very helpful in booking us an early taxi and showed us to the restaurant which was lovely. The food in there was excellent- we had lunch and breakfast and both were lovely, the coffee was so good! The room itself is lovely designed, clean and comfortable- the amenities were great. The location is also really good - central and everything was in walking distance.
−I felt like this was more of a B&B rather than a hotel. There isn’t really anyone on reception much, there is no lobby and the restaurant is attached to the building, as opposed to part of it. We had the misfortune of having a room that was at the top of the stairs AND overlooking the busy street.I am a light sleeper and this meant I was constantly being woken up by noise outside and inside the building- people slamming the front door, clattering up and down the stairs etc. the curtains also let light in which didn’t help much. Because of the lack of being able to sleep I don’t think we would return. I think perhaps if we had had a room towards the back of the building we would have had a different experience!
