−The property is situated a considerable distance from the main road, and the access route is not well-maintained. The owner arranged for a Tuk Tuk to transport us.

“Amazing stay ☺️”
+We had an amazing stay! The property is beautiful and perfectly located, close to town but far enough away to enjoy breathtaking mountain views and a relaxing, peaceful environment. The host and his wife were exceptional hosts: so kind, welcoming, and always attentive to our needs. The food was absolutely delicious, and they made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and highly recommend staying here! 😊

+The hosts are friendly and hospitable people. They take care of everything. The breakfast is delicious and varied. They also have excellent lunches and/or dinners! And not spicy. The kids loved it very much. There is laundry service. The house is spacious and every request is happily answered. Definitely recommended!!!

“Sri Lankan homestay”
+The accommodation was homely and was 1.5km out of Ella, but only a 5 minute tuktuk ride and was much more peaceful than Ella, a lovely place to relax in, away from the noise of town. The owner also offers evening meals at an extra cost and we would highly recommend these - the food was excellent, traditional Sri Lankan food, varied and great value for money. The owners were lovely, very helpful and accommodating. Great place for spotting local wildlife too. We were a family of 4 and there was plenty of room, and it suited us perfectly.

“Lovely 3BR house with nice garden and small pool”
+What an unexpected beautiful place, much more beautiful than we thought from the initial pictures. It is a great place for a family of 5-6 persons: a good sized living room, 2 bedrooms (1 with double bed, 1 with slightly smaller double bed and a 1 person bed) with own bathrooms (with decent showers!), and a third bedroom with a 1,5 person bed and specific young children bed. Just note that this third bedroom can only be closed with a curtain and leads to the kitchen. The large terrace with nice views on the beautiful surroundings and private little pool is a standout feature. The pool is the size of a large hot tub, but as it can't be heated it's rather a cold tub:-). However, it's still very relaxing on a warm day, and after filling for 15 mins, our kids (6 and 10) loved it! The whole surroundings are very beautiful as well, with nice views and feeling part of nature. The owners are very friendly and helpful, ensuring all is well. They provided extra bottles of water, did our laundry and arranged Tuktuk drivers and small tours for reasonable prices. A very good tasting meal can be arranged, and every day starts with decent breakfast.
−There are some improvements possible to ensure it is up to West European comfort levels, as I have also shared to the owner. And some dogs also like the lovely dinner outside, so they'll drop by to check, but they will leave you alone. And yes, it's a bit hard to reach. But from the station / city centre, it's only 5-10 mins drive, and with a good sized Tuktuk all is possible. And just be mindful for handicapped / strollers or so: there's a bit steep slope of +-100 mtrs to reach the house from the road. All in all, for us the plusses far outweighed the minusses, especially at this price point! Therefore we highly recommend it.

+Stayed in the triple room as a family. Ajith and Chamila were very attentive, the breakfast and Dinner were good, they gave us fresh fruits from their garden, let us use the Kids pool when no one was staying in the Villa, hooked us up with a fair Tuktuk driver, let us store things in their fridge and Ajith gave me tips for climbing Sri Pada during the night and even walked me to the bus station and made sure I took the right bus. Overall a nice stay.
