“Nice view, amazing host, extremely comfortable hotel room.”
+The host was extremely friendly and welcoming. The bed itself was incredibly comfortable, the best sleep I had in a while.
−The wifi didnt work for me but I had unlimited data so I wasn't too bothered.

“Nice staff and lovely views”
+The people were friendly and helped carry our bags. There is a beautiful view. We enjoyed our stay.
−Something for guests to be aware of is the steep climb to the property which cars and tuktuks do not attempt. We didn’t realise when we booked there is no aircon, it was warm so could do with adding aircon. The duvet was also very thick, it would be good to have option of a sheet as well as a very thin duvet. The pillows were also huge! The bathroom was large so I felt very cold when showering, the room would benefit from a shower curtain or shower screen.

+We had such a beautiful stay at Ella Hillside. The views were absolutely stunning, and it was so special waking up to monkeys nearby while enjoying a cup of tea on the balcony. The hospitality was incredible , so warm and welcoming and the Sri Lankan food was truly delicious. It made our stay feel authentic, relaxing, and one to remember.

+The accomodation is located at a hill, but the slope is not that dramatic, its nothing unusual for Ella and tuk-tuk can drive there if needed. The view from the room is extraordinary. Even during the rainy day when our hiking plan was cancelled, we enjoyed sitting on the sheltered balcony and watching the nature at the area. The nature and the view is on point. Firtsly we were worried that it might be located far away from the center, but by walking to the center it was 10 minutes and the location is great as a starting point for hiking tours. The center of Ella is also quite noisy in the evening and early morning, so eventually we found the location of Hillsite View great. The room itself was clean and well-equipped. The blanket and bed sheets were comfortable 👌🏼 Many thanks to the family who hosted us at Hillsite View. The family took care for us, and created a space were we felt so welcomed and comfortable. It was indeed exceptional experience and I highly recommend to stay here.

“A great situation with beautiful views and a lovely host family, comfortable and quiet.”
+The location up high in the hills had wonderful views. We could see wildlife such as squirrels, monkeys and colourful birds. It was quiet, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the host family lovely.
−Just a few hooks on the wall in the room to hang up a few things such as jackets. A minor suggestion only.

+The hosts were very kind and helpful. The breakfast was good. The room was large, comfortable and very clean. The views were amazing.
−Please be aware of the very steep walk upto the property. Our minivan driver could not drive up so we walked with our cases! Not all vehicles can manage the steep incline. However, the tuk-tuks can get up. So maybe order a tuk-tuk to help with luggage. Most properties with good views had similar inclines.
