“Worst place in Melbourne”
+Nothing
−The long term stayers that try and bully you to get out. The staff dont understand English. Ive stayed in a dormitory before but the people here are next level and never leave their room and make u feel like it's their hostel and the workers are scared of them. Drugs are big here too they smoke in the stairway and do deals in the lobby in front of the workers.i would not recommend this place to anyone and will warn anyone not to stay here. I visit Melbourne often but this was my worst trip ever thanks Elizabeth hostel.

“Overall, the accommodation fell well below acceptable standards of cleanliness, hygiene, comfort, and safety. Basic hous”
+Centrally located
−Extremely disappointing accommodation experience. * No elevators: We had to carry all our luggage up to the third floor without any assistance. * Towels: The towels provided were very thin and small, and we were required to pay an additional rental fee to use them. * Poor cleanliness: The kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom were extremely dirty and poorly maintained. * Dusty rooms: Thick layers of dust had accumulated on the lockers and bunk beds, clearly indicating that the room had not been properly cleaned or wiped down before our arrival. * Safety and hygiene concerns: The emergency exit door on the third floor was constantly left open, with rubbish scattered around the surrounding area. The space appeared neglected and gave the impression that it had previously been used as a shelter by homeless individuals.

“Poor facilities, cold atmosphere, comfortable beds”
+The mattresses: Surprisingly comfortable The showers: Fairly clean
−The overall atmosphere: A strange mix between a psychiatric hospital, a rehab centre and a nursing home. The welcome: A cold, unwelcoming atmosphere. The mixed dorms: Poor organisation and a lack of storage space, with food, personal belongings, clean clothes and even bottles of alcohol all mixed together. The kitchen: Only two or three out of five gas burners seemed to work. The kitchen utensils: You have to bring your own, and the cooking oil situation is far from appealing. The common area: Unattractive tables that look like they were taken from somewhere else. The refund policy: No refunds are possible. The overall experience: Poor facilities, a lack of organisation and disappointing standards of comfort.
