“A lovely, peaceful place in the bush run by lovely owners who are really helpful!”
+The owners were really lovely and helpful in all ways. I only stayed for one night because I was traveling to Liberia to catch a flight the next morning. Michael drove me to the border at 5:30 am, arranged a taxi from the border to the airport on the Costa Rica side, and stayed in contact with me the whole time to make sure nothing went wrong. The location was really cool, nestled in the bush. I wish I had stayed there longer and I definitely will if/when I visit Nicaragua again. It was a very peaceful place to stay compared to San Juan Del Sur. Highly recommended!
−Nothing. It was excellent!

+Outstanding staff, truly! Kind & attentive. The food was excellent. The grounds & surrounding are beautiful. Walking distance to the lake, gorgeous. The room was excellent & very comfortable, HOT SHOWER!!!
−A few hooks in the room would have been great to hang things on but really, the place is amazing! I would stay again!!!

“On a long road trip with many stays, this one will remain memorable.”
+The hosts are very friendly and the food is truly outstanding (half board available). The setting is beautiful. The location is on a cobblestone road on a thin piece of land between Lago Cocibolca Nicaragua and Costa Rica, not far from the Penas Blancas border crossing. It's a real treat to stay with owners who have developed a bed and breakfast with a long term vision of being surrounded by nature.
−There was a fee to use the swimming pool

“Memorable experience”
+We were looking for a hotel close to the border and were very happy with our stay. After being stuck in the passport line for 3.5 hours, we arrived much later than expected, but the hotel prepared a hot meal for us when we let them know. The next morning, we enjoyed a tour of the property. We would gladly return if we are in the area again.

+Nice owners. Perfect fresh food. Warm pool. Forest sea air. Relax atmosphere.
−Military people on the 66 road. Why they take passport etc if I crossed the border several min ago ?!! I'm inside in the country. Controlling the border is not equal controlling the people ! Don't force any tourists. It's really bullshit for the image of the country

+Wonderful Stay at Ecolodge Blue Morpho! We had an amazing experience at this lovely place. Michael, the owner, made us feel completely at home and took care of everything we needed. In the morning, he even gave us a ride to the border , such thoughtful service! The lodge is clean, well-organized, and beautifully maintained. It's the perfect spot for anyone looking for peace and quiet in a natural setting. Highly recommended, and we would definitely come back!

“A Perfect Stay”
+Michael could not have been more helpful. So friendly! Delicious breakfast, spotlessly clean room, with beautiful surroundings. Surrounded by nature and could see the howler monkeys. I could not recommend this place more

+This place is set in an outstanding and beautiful unspoiled and very quiet jungle setting. In nighttime there is no sound from civilization but only monkeys, the lake and the jungle can be heard. The night sky for stargazing is spectacular. All of this is topped with freshly cooked food from the nicest hosts imaginable. Coming from Costa Rica we originally planned to stay only one night but extended our stay because everything was fantastic.
