“My worst travel nightmare EVER!!!!”
+Broken chair, wife was injured. Wife was bitten 3 times on her leg that looks like bed bugs. Toilet water valve leaked, it took 2 flushes to evacuate its contents every time, front window broken and would not lock, food from previous occupants was left in the refrigerator, it took 5 full minutes to run the water and it only got slightly warm, chairs and carpet were severely stained (we had to put towels on the chairs just to sit. This place was nasty, and the manager was rude and nasty. This is undoubtedly the worse place I have ever stayed in my 53 years of travel and this is the first time I have EVER written a bad note on a place where I have stayed. I do NOT like being a person who whines.
−To make it better, bulldoze the place and start over.

“Until they clean up the rooms, I wouldn’t recommend it!”
+The location was great for the trip we were on, but that’s where the positives end!
−The rooms were nasty! The carpet was so dirty I wore socks to bed so I didn’t have to walk barefoot! The two chairs in the room was covered in stains so we couldn’t even use them. There was a used bar of soap at the edge of the tub that we removed. I don’t believe an inspector would have approved all the appliances plugged into one wall socket! I would have moved to a different motel, but there was no other choices in town.

“Stay instead in Idaho Falls and plan to drive an hour to see the Craters of the Moon.”
+This is a very old style motel in a small town near the Craters of the Moon National Monument with limited choices for places to stay. The women (owner?) was very nice and lived there with her family. She placed us with consideration in the back so our dogs were not near others. Our double queen room was large and had a second bedroom for the second queen bed with an adjoining door to the bathroom. There was also an area with a fridge and microwave with a counter. The owner kindly put our ice packs in her own refrigerator because the fridges did not have freezers. It also liked that it had trees for shade on the property.
−The facilities are very old and not well maintained outside. While the room was clean enough inside, the outside walls and doorway were very dirty with cobwebs in between the bricks and the inside window sills were dirty and had flies. My husband slept in his clothes on top of his bed because he thought it was a "flea bag" motel, but my bed was clean and comfortable. The outside had a nice green grass yard in the back for pets but there was dog poop everywhere which hadn't been picked up. There was no coffee machine and it also was somewhat inconvenient that the office was only open certain hours. Sorry to have to give it a negative review...

“Okay place to stay”
+The lady checking me in was so nice and got us in quick. Even gave us a bigger room for one of the rooms I reserved no extra charge. And was super helpful and recommended food and activities in town. It was right off the road we were travelling on.
−The rooms were dirty. Had stuff from previous people left all around the chairs and around the beds and the showers were not clean. One of the rooms I rented the lock was broken so the room wouldn't lock, my husband had to sleep in there with our older kids for safety purposes.

+Staff is so kind and amazing. Thank you for the clean bedding, clean towels and clean bathroom. It's a very old motel which means things aren't perfect but I was pleased.
−Most things were very clean except small details like vacuuming under desk and along the the walls, baseboards.
