“Lots to enjoy, but friendliness would help.”
+The pool was superb; the breakfast options were good; the room was a generous size.
−Didn’t realise I’d be three flights up with no lift (as a pensioner who’s just had knee replaced), but fair enough… what really frustrated us was the surly, grudging attitude of several staff members. There was a distinct lack of helpfulness from some employees who just stood around, ignoring us. Ironically the one waiter who was wonderful and helpful got chastised (loudly and furiously - in front of us) by his boss, in an aggressive Albanian rant, for some unfathomable reason. This was unprofessional and made me, as a guest, feel very uncomfortable. We saw no smiles amongst the employees, which makes me question the management and any desire to make customers feel welcome. Also, the air-con dripped water onto the floor of our room throughout our stay. The generators were incredibly loud. I didn’t like seeing animals in cages, but it was lovely to have peacocks roaming free in the grounds.
