+Great place to be when visiting venice. Its close to S.Marcus cathedrale and the old town. The room was comfortable and clean.
−The fact that no breakfast is served it could be a problem when travelling with kids. For a 4star hotel the facilities are basic

“A hidden gem I would return to”
+Location was very close to square, felt safe even though down a pretty dark alley. Welcoming reception area and very friendly property manager. Easy check in and great , fast communication. Beautiful room, the deco/detail to attention took my breath away especially for the cost. Excellent example of Venetian decor. Hot water & great pressure. Mattress hard but comfortable. Fridge and safe were a great bonus.
−Given the limitations of the building , price point in Venice central there was nothing we didn’t like. If possible I would have loved more lights down the alley.

“Both the hotel and the location were great.”
+Ghulia at the front desk was exceptional. She not only got us comfortably situated in the hotel and the San Marco area in general, but aided us hugely in getting our departure to the airport set up successfully.
−We could have been better informed about a scheduled total electric utility shutdown in the area around the hotel for one morning. A note or a little verbal heads up the day before would have allowed us to plan better.

+I loved the location.
−The receptionist was very snippy. Travelling solo, as a female, I didn't feel at all comfortable going down the long alley -way, particularly in the evening. For the price of the room, I feel even a Continental breakfast with a croissant should have been offered.

“Highly recommend”
+Great central position.
−Stares are difficult for senior citizens. Our view was the wall of the adjacent building. About 30 cm. But was expected
