“While the lady was very accommodating and helpful, I don’t think I would stay again, as a lady on my own, felt very vuln”
+I had a downstairs room as my mobility isn’t good, the bed was very comfortable
−The blind in the bathroom wasn’t working which made it feel vulnerable as it backs onto next doors and also back of the guest house, also very musty smell in the room

“Good base for York visit”
+Diamonds Villa made an excellent base for our visit to York, it was a 15 to 20 minute walk into the city. The room was a good size and clean and we were pleased to come back one day to find the bedding changed and fresh towels put out. There was plenty of tea and coffee in the room. The toilet and shower rooms were just on the landing and were of a reasonable standard.
−The big downside could have been car parking. It seems that the whole area is permit parking and there were only four spaces at the Villa - which cost an extra £10 per night to use! Fortunately we didn't have a problem but if all the spaces were taken I don't really know where I could have parked but we did spot a long stay car park about half a mile nearer the city.
