+We didn’t have a great experience overall, but there were a few positives… The beach was clean and well looked after compared with some other parts of Diani, and a handful of staff were also genuinely lovely, welcoming and attentive.
−We stayed here in September and were really disappointed! We’d been considering the hotel for our wedding guests and possibly an event in the future, but definitely wouldn’t now. Apart from a few lovely staff, the service felt unfriendly, with very few smiles, greetings or check-ins. We also didn’t realise there were older and newer sections of the hotel, and our original room looked nothing like the photos we’d seen. For around $800, we expected so much better. We were past Booking.com’s cancellation deadline, so couldn’t get a refund and paid another $300 to move to the newer section. It rained throughout our stay (not the hotel’s fault) but parts of the hotel flooded and everything felt chaotic, with guests scrambling for umbrellas and waiting ages for help or information. Monkeys were constantly around the dining area, even snatching food from people’s plates, so eating wasn’t relaxing either. We ended up spending most of our 3 days in our room. I love Diani, so this was especially disappointing for my partner’s first trip to Kenya. I wouldn’t return or recommend this hotel.

+The staff were super friendly and available, the resort is large with pockets of different vibes all over the place. The room was spotless, the shower was great. Good variety of food for the buffet. All in all a lovely experience.
−Nothing really

“I did not get value for my money”
+Beautiful property and spacious rooms Tastefully designed and very clean
−The reception wasn’t great and the confusion of reception because of the ongoing renovation Took a while before getting checked in and staff weren’t so welcoming though there was an ongoing convention, a little more effort would have been made to make guests comfortable and welcomed

+We booked a day for an event, the first full moon party, and we got a really nice room, we booked a standard garden view room, but it had the design of a ocean view room, it was very clean and very nice. The Food the breakfast and the dinner on the buffet and everything like the service was perfect and amazing. it's really worth the money ! its very clean and nice and good service, but here is nothing to complain !
−I have nothing to complain. it's really worth the money ! I can only complain about Swahili Beach Resort, but here is nothing to complain !
