+What's not to love about Davos Chalet?! If you want it, Davos has it. Ski in ski out, quiet lake access, comfy community areas and rooms, large rec room with lots of games and sports/outdoor gear, well stocked kitchen with all the goods. Short walk to a cool hotel restaurant. Friendly guests, helpful staff and a great host. Thanks for the stay!

“Beautiful hotel and location, superb amenities!”
+Beautiful location. I was able to watch bald eagles soaring over the lake, even saw one swoop down and catch a fish! the bed was incredibly comfortable, found out from the owner, that they're the mattresses used at Sheraton hotels. the deck with the railing height tables were a great idea. The shower head was powerful, and all of the little touches were not expected - an espresso machine, complimentary snacks, a gas grill, free ingredients to make s'mores at the fire pit, a sauna, multiple types of coffee, puzzles, and telescopes. I'm coming back in a few weeks!
−The door lock was a long combination, but it worked fine.

“Different setup but nice once use to it”
+Friendly staff. Good shared use of common areas, fishing poles, kayakers, bikes, telescopes ,fire pit, grill, all for use if needed.

+Price was right Beds were comfortable, my husband slept like a baby Had many features like a game room, suana common areas were nice kitchens with cookware and other dishes you can use Only stayed one night!
−Paper thin walls No TVs in rooms, which can go either way depending on your likes. Linens clean, room was dusty and some cobwebs Bath are could have been a little cleaner Only one worker, stated he was the only worker, he was very pleasant, but could use some help and proper cleaning tools.

“ok in a last minute pinch because I had my pet and nothing very pet friendly around here.”
+I did not see any breakfast, but then was eager to leave. I at least got to sleep it was quiet.
−We could not get in the stupid coded lock it was late and we were exhausted and the guy acted like it was our fault he gave us another room via phone never saw a human. It worked so obviously we can work a lock. It was weird hard to find isolated and not especially clean smelled weird. Very small room like a dorm no tv which did not care but some may. Plus we were afraid if we left the room could not get back in. We had business in ironwood in morning.

+It is in a beautiful setting and the host was very nice and helpful.
−They are currently remodeling so some of the common area lights were not working and the kitchen was a little messy. I would definitely try this place again. It will be great when its all done

“Davos Chalet - Price good, too many stairs”
+I liked the comfort of the bed and pillows, especially since they kept me cool while sleeping. I liked the interesting coffee pods, like maple bacon. I liked how the helpful staff member Chris carried my luggage up so many stairs. Smores by the campfire was fun, just alot of stairs to get there!
−The stairs were difficult, up to room, down to car, even farther down to firepit and tunnel to access parking lot! There was a large step to access grassy area, which could easily be improved with one small step. The bathroom was awkward: the toilet seat kept shifting around, the toilet paper holder was behind the door and the rack for clean towels was wobbly and not attached to wall properly. There were several families staying there long term, who had taken over both kitchens and common lounge area. I heard them gossiping about me and didn't feel welcome

+I did not know what the full extent of staying in a Chalet is and ai truly feel like staying at Davos Chalrt for the first time gave me a very relaxing and positive experience. Not only is the location secluded and perfect, but the esthetics placed in the house for guests to look at and interact with made my stay that much more memorable. They even accommodated my stay with a welcoming birthday balloons as this was my personal birthday retreat.
−The place is currently doing renovations so I wasn't able to take full use of all the amenities but that doesn't whatsoever change my rating for my experience as everything else made up for it.

“Very disappointing for the price which was only $126. Will not return”

−Paid for air conditioned lake view room. The first night we got a room with a view of a boarded window well opposite the lake, no air cond, no fan no way to open unscreened window,. Bathroom door lamination peeling off due to rubbing on floor and toilet seat, bathroom so small you could hardly turn around in it. No TV, no microwave no refrigerator. Very small room. Had to go up two flights of narrow stairwell to get to first floor room. Owner said booking.com overbooked and promised us a third floor lake view corner room with two windows for the second night. Instead luggage was placed in a first floor room with one window, no air conditioning, no TV, not even a clock. This room did have small portable fan.
