“Cute hostel very close to the Grimsey Ferry.”
+Perfect location if you are taking the ferry, it's just across the road. Full available facilities. It was very quiet because there was only one other couple at the hostel. Owner was very responsive to my questions and even recommended that I ask the bus driver if he would drop me off closer to the hostel, which he did! Saved me a few blocks walk from the main bus stop. I was here in the off season (Oct) and on a Sunday, this is a very small town so nothing was open when I arrived at 5pm, so you must plan accordingly.
−I was a little panicked when I arrived at 5:30pm and the doors were locked and there was nobody around. I knocked but no response, I tried to call the number posted on the door, but no response. After walking around a young man inside opened the door and let me in, I was still very confused as to if this was where I was staying. He directed me to my room. A little while later the owner knocked on my door explaining his phone was broken and he was out getting the other couple. Relief that I had a place to stay. Some better instructions about using the side door and letting me know what room would have eliminated my panic upon arriving at this very small town where everything was closed up.

“Ginli in Dalvik”
+Our host was funny, knowledgeable, and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable, and the shower had plenty of hot water. The location was beautiful and peaceful.

“Brilliant stay and host”
+The place was perfect and quirky. Bjarni was amazing and very friendly. The facilities had a well stocked kitchen. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable we had a very good sleep.. Showers were really good, you almost didn't want to come out of the shower😀
−Booking com was disappointing as we changed our nights from 2 to 1. The owner could not refund us through the system. He tried contacting booking.com and had no response! Very annoying for both the customer and the host! We had to resolve it in a different way and both lost out Poor show for booking.xom as we booked all accommodation and experiences with them.

“Very good value for money, friendly host”
+Good location by the harbour. A lot of food left by other quests to share. Very nice host.
−Too bright in the room on summer nights, some kind of shades should be installed.

“TOP ubytování v srdci Dalvíku a severu.”
+Milý majitel. Nádherný výhled kolem dokola. Prostorné společné prostory. Přímo u trajektu na Grimsey. Fantastická písečná pláž s teplým a studeným koupáním, skvělou restaurací a výletem za velrybami vedle v Hauganes
−Chyběly závěsy v pokoji za polárního dne. Pozor na obchody a restaurace, zavírají poměrně brzy.
