“Perfect spot for easy access to Coniston Water if you’re a dipper or paddleboarder. All the mod cons, and handy to have”
+Great location, easy parking next to the hut, decent sized living area.
−The bathroom was compact, and it would be good to have a recycling bin to save sorting the waste by the big bins down the track.

+the location and the staff were fantastic and helpful, couldn't have asked for more.
−Booking.com sold it that every room had a hot tub which it did NOT so we were disappointed when we turned up and didnt' have a hot tub available to us. Thankfully there was an empty lodge which did have a hot tub so we were allowed to use this by the staff at the park who advised that the mis sell is regular.

+Staff on site were good
−The booking on here is deliberately misleading. There are multiple properties without a hot tub, and that isn't made clear until the booking is made, or until you arrive. We literally only booked this place because of the hot tub, this is flagrant false advertising and I'd recommend people choose a different provider.

“Beautiful retreat just what we needed to relax and enjoy nature.”
+views were incredible and the place had everything we needed. Loved the place and facilities. Walks are all around and getting to the lake is easy when you know how. Hot tub was a treat and we felt very relaxed. If you want to get to the lake just walk out of the holiday place and walk a few minutes on the right hand side of the road and there's a field to the left and a walk way just follow that down, it also leads to other walks around the lake. I would return and refer this place to a friend as it is great value for money.
−Hot tub - when bubbles went on it wasn't very powerful. There wasn't much info on the area or how to get to the lake or the walks around the area. The hosts were supposed to call to ask if everything was okay but we didn't get a call - I think the no host idea is good and nice to just get in with your holiday but I did feel like maybe it was too hostless. The one thing I would like to suggest is a car park at the entrance of the holiday place to leave your car as even though it is very convenient and I'm not complaining but when I wanted to enjoy a cup of coffee on the balcony there were cars coming in and out which spoilt the atmosphere, considering its a retreat. I know this seems like a lot of what I didn't like but we did really love this holiday and these are just a few things I would change personally. I do think the cleanliness could be better the lodge felt slightly damp and even though it was clean it could of done with a deep clean like skirtings and things. I would return to this place though so please don't be put off these were only minor things but I wanted to share.

“if your looking for nice walks, abit of peace, and quality accommodation, Crakey park is good”
+the cabin was excellent, however i didnt like having a long walk to dispose of bin bags, and the steep, very very steep hill back wasnt ideal either, but hey ho, if your looking for quietness, and a bit of peace away from the frantic nature of cities, THIS IS DEFFO THE SPOT FOR YOU.
−the quietness and solitude of the the park was excellent imo

−No check in info / link / anyone there at 5-6pm. Smoke alarm malfunction at 4am and no spare / fix available.

+The staff we’re exceptional. We had an issue and it’s been sorted completely. The area is quiet and scenic. I liked that there was an honesty shop with treats to buy handmade by children. The manager of the site was absolutely lovely and so helpful and understanding.
−We did book a lodge with a hot tub and i even confirmed this before travelling and when we arrived there wasn’t one but the issue has been fully resolved and i would still recommend visiting because all issues (should you have one) are sorted in such a professional and understanding manner.
