“Shared bedroom not worth of it”
+Very good kitchen and garden, well maintained and clean, private rooms looks good
−Shared bed room isn't acceptable, it's a ground floor with no windows, no air circulation, and looks like an basement. Worst shared bedroom in Porto so far. For vacation purpose it's not good, pick the private rooms here.

“I don't recommend”
+I liked the location - it is situated a bit away from the touristic centre, in a more authentic neighbourhood. The building is very traditional style.
−Unfortunately, even when taking into account the low rates, the conditions at this place aren't how they should be in any kind of accomodation. First of all, it has not been very clean in the rooms and kitchen/common area, which is probably the other guest's fault and not the hosts. But I would still expect employees to enforce more cleanliness as long as they're around (e.g. reception counter occupied). I informed 2 separated employees on 2 separate days about the missing soap dispenser in one of the bathrooms. On day 3 there was still no soap there... I was placed in the wrong room by accident for the first night of my stay of 3 nights - no big deal, but since I paid more for a room with less people, I think some form of compensation should have been adressed... The upper bathroom had a sign saying something in the shower is broken and it would be repaired the next day - the sign was there during my whole stay there... Lastly, the mattress in my bed was clearly broken - the springs were visibly sticking out and poking me. It was clear the mattress was extremely old.

“If you’re thinking of booking this hostel DON’T!”
+Common area was new
−Everything else. It was so bad. I arrived at 00:00 and still decided to switch to a different hostel last moment even though it was just for 1 night of 6 hours sleep and I was really tired. I was placed in the basement “dorms”. It was just a hallway with some bunkbeds. No daylight or any windows. The main, very bright lights were still on and people were talking. (mind you it was midnight) My bedsheets had not been changed. There were hairs and stains. You were able to see someone had already slept in the sheets. The bathrooms were also disgusting. There was no place to put my bag. Please if you’re thinking of booking this hostel, don’t!!! Especially not if you’re a solo female traveller. The ambience was sketchy and didn’t feel safe.
