“Perfect place in Mallaig”
+Amazing place to stay, always our top choice when staying in Mallaig. Good sized double bedroom with extremely comfy bed, great shower and gorgeous view of the harbour. The shared living/kitchen area is a real highlight, especially when travelling with a baby. Good sized fridge, excellent facilities like kettle/toaster/microwave/oven. And the smell of the fresh bed sheets as soon as you walk into the building is heaven! Sharon, the host, is an absolute gem.

+Everything was amazing. The host Sharon couldn’t do enough for us. The views were exceptional. The whole place caters for your every need - including the washer & dryer. A real gem of a place to stay.

+Very comfortable room with a view of the harbour. Attached sitting area shared with other guest room. Kitchen with all needed to prepare meals. Very close to the train station.
−We were a bit confused about checking in. Entrance door to BnB is up steps at the back of a shop on the corner.

−Would have preferred a tea pot or a mug for my morning brew rather than the tiny cups provided but that seems to be the norm in most b&b's.

“I cant wait to return”
+Lovely family run place, very comfortable and Sharon was a charming hostess. The restaurant was absolutely superb, freshest fish, if I didn't live 60 miles away, I would eat there every week.

“Lovely little place”
+The room was spacious and the bathroom was lovely and modern. Very comfortable bed. Location was perfect on the harbour.
−Might just have been us but we couldn't lock our bedroom door from the inside. If I was travelling as a lone female without my husband this would have really unsettled me in accommodation with a shared living area.

“We were welcomed like family at Cornerstone, and loved our stay!”
+We loved our stay at Cornerstone in Mallaig! We wish we could have stayed longer. The room was quaint, comfortable, very clean, and the view of the town and harbor from our upstairs window was refreshing! The bathroom was nicely updated and well lit. We did not have an opportunity to eat at the restaurant because it was booked for the evening, but it was a lovely little dining spot. The location is conveniently close to both the ferry terminal and the train station. The thing that put Cornerstone over the top and made it our favorite place we stayed was the lovely owner, Sharon, and her son. They are the sweetest people! They were very accommodating and ready to help us! They went over and above to make sure we had everything we needed and in assisting us in any way they could. They genuinely care for their guests and want them to be welcomed and comfortable at Cornerstone!
−I was aware when booking our room that it would be upstairs and no elevator/lift was available. Just for awareness for those with mobility issues like myself, the stairs to the room were narrow, steep, and had a 90-degree turn halfway up, and there is no handrail. However, as I stated previously, Sharon's son helped with our luggage and it was upstairs in no time! Sharon was also very kind and willing to help us get up and down the stairs safely.
