“Beautiful hostel, near the beach, with the sweetest staff.”
+The hostel had a really nice kitchen and a nice common area to sit in. It’s extremely close to the beach a four minute walk. The staff are exceptionally kind and helpful. I think it’s really reasonably priced. I know it’s a little bit hokey, but it really does have a cool vibe. I was there during off-season. The town is really cute. There are so many nice bars and restaurants. The staff made a suggestion about a nearby restaurant that has a gorgeous view of the ocean and has monkeys as you drive on to the property, I forget what the name of the restaurant is but it’s really exceptional and not expensive. The best thing about this facility is the young man and woman who work the check-in desk. My son has been to this hostel before and really enjoyed his time here. He actually made some lifelong friends because he stayed there. It was nice to see it.
−There was nothing I didn’t like about the property.

+The location is very nice, and it is super peaceful and nice vibe.
−The sheets were with an unpleasant smell, but it was subtle and it was okay.

+Awesome hostel 2minutes walk from the beach, large supermarket 5minutes up the road, easy access via bus from both directions (if you can figure out bus schedule). Coffee/tea avaliable every morning. Surfboard rentals $15usd/24hours. Luggage Storage room avaliable. Reasonable sized kitchen with necessary cutlery.
−As per other Costa Rica accoms, confusing payment (preferred cash with ridiculous card fee) but used fixed conversion rates which means you always overpay, is just a subtle way of trying to claim extra money. Exchange rates are not fixed. Otherwise no issues, and is not isolated to this accom either.

+Close to beach, only (or one of the only) hostels in town so best value there is. Building was old but it was clean and had a nice common area.
−Hostel was older crowd (could just be the time I stayed but seemed normal). No AC which was very hot for the area, small fans at beds to keep cool.
