+Self catering lodge, adequate utensils, only found 1 shelf in oven - 2 would have been better. Comfy furniture , Very peaceful location, restaurant very good on site,
−Both patio doors, outside, very dirty - dusty, lots of cobwebs and glass dirty. On arrival, spent 15 mins dusting them down, and cleaning them, sweeping the decking, so we could enjoy the view. En suite shower extremely slow to drain.

“Enjoyed it just let down by outside”
+Everything within the property was clean and sufficient for our stay. Self check in very easy. The site itself was lovely very well kept.
−Outside area was in need of some attention. The decking was dirty and covered in leaves. Behind hot tub discarded alcohol bottles. The large round outside seat that was in the pictures on booking.com was discarded over the fence and in a state. Cobwebs everywhere spiders all over the place. All of the solar light didn’t work some were clearly broken. Shame as this really let the property down. Hot tub cover very shabby although worked.

“Loved the lodge. Comfortable and clean.”
+Lovely property. Everything you needed was at hand. Very stylish. Very clean. The jacuzzi was excellent. Comfortable beds.
−Only one small roll of toilet paper in each loo. Could do with some blackout curtains in small bedrooms. Shower in en suite was blocked and on a tilt.

“Excellent stay at a great location”
+Fully equipped with everything we needed. A great base to explore the surrounding area. Truly beautiful views from the hot tub too. We’ll definitely be back!

“Not good”
−We would have not booked it if we knew it was so close to the A6 constant noise 24hrs a day so not tranquil or relaxing. In hot tub noise open doors noise so spent a lot of time away from lodge just used like a b+b.

“Fantastic value for money”

−Lack off communication couple of things that I needed assistance with. Unfortunately the number went straight to voicmail & no reply on booking I did figure out the issues myself but if it was an emergency I would of been in a different situation. It states not to touch the boiler settings in the handbook but with no communication I had to reset the boiler & the heating worked conflicting information and without the owners input had too. The hot tub took a full evening to warm & wasnt ready until day 2

“Good place but needs proper cleaning and maintenance”
+The lakeside view was really nice. Ideal for bird watching.
−First and foremost the directions to the property were not accurate. There is nowhere on the boards written Coniston View except on the property. Even with a torch light it was really hard to locate the property. On the outside of the property especially the hot tub area, was full of leaves. I would expect that coming in the place would be spotless. Inside everything was well organised but the dirty floor mats made one wonder if all was clean. The dishwasher is old and dirty but functional. Going into the bedrooms, the carpet had stains and the shower glass was dirty on the bottom edge. It looked as if there was no professional cleaning. The en-suite shower drain collected water and standing in was gross given how dirty it was. In the end you make something out of what you have in the moment. It would have been a good experience if it wasn’t for the lack of cleanliness.
