+Staff we're friendly and welcoming, rooms with sea view had lovely views over oban bay at night. Parking. Bar Rio had very good food at reasonable prices
−Buffet style breakfast was just ok, not the best quality products for the price paid.

“A characterful hotel in a stunning location”
+The hotel is in a fantastic location on a promontory overlooking the sea, within easy walking distance of the railway and bus stations. The room was large and comfortable with everything we needed. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
−The sound proofing was quite poor. Every time the residents either side of us came into their rooms, you could hear every footstep, voices and constant flicking of light switches. The electrics are a little confusing but the number of times the switches next door were fiddled with, was ridiculous.

“excellent as usual. we will be back”
+room was beautiful, views superb, breakfast was good and very filling
−we had a storm which caused a leak in our room ceiling but the staff were very good about it. The fire alarm went off at 7 am but stopped so we assume it was a false alarm.

“Charming, cozy, excellent location with wonderful staff. Kudos to the evening reception that greeted us!”
+Excellent, informative, positive staff and the location of this hotel with an exceptional reasonable price are the best parts of this hotel.
−The decor, aka the older carpets, some baseboards etc need replacing and somewhere there must be a leak or two as it had a slight mouldy odour now and then, but easily ignored as it is such a charming older Victorian with beautiful view of the sea.

“Alright”
+Location, good breakfast (nothing fancy though), own parking
−My friend got sick. I had 2 rooms booked. I asked the hotel to sell the other room (if they can), when it was clear that my friend will not come. But I received a rather cold response.

“Old fashion hotel.”
+Lokalizacja w samym centrum Oban.
−Niedziałająca, zabytkowa winda. Noszenie walizek na 2 piętro po dość niebezpiecznych schodach było wyzwaniem.
