“A dream vacation!”
+We loved everything about the Clave Verde Ecolodge. The location is remote and quiet. It is a little oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Las Terrenas. The staff are so warm and pleasant. The owners are amazing and go above and beyond to make the experience the best possible! The food is spectacular - so fresh & so many options to choose from (which is good because all of our dinners were in the restaurant). There is a pool to enjoy as well. The owners gave us so many recommendations to make our stay, excursions and visits to the beaches exceptional. They are very special people and are committed to offering a sustainable vacation.
−There really isn't anything that we didn't like.

“A beautiful and peaceful place in the magic forest.”
+The room was very beautiful and comfortable. The food was excellent. The best we had in the Dominican Republic so far and the price is extremely reasonable. The staff was professional and friendly. I would definitely go back for the food and for the comfortable room.
−We had to change room as we didn’t know from the description, that it was in a shared apartment. That information should be clear on booking.

“Unforgettable Place”
+From the moment we arrived at Clava Verde we knew we were in for an unforgettable experience. Every single aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations. The hospitality at this place was second to none. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, always greeting us with warm smiles and a genuine willingness to help. What I like to point out is that the food was simply outstanding. Chef Emelie and her staff clearly takes great pride in their craft, as every meal was great. From breakfast to dinner, each dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The variety of options catered to every taste, and we especially loved the local specialties. The place was very clean and designed very nicely. They were a few places that you could hang around and just relax. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. One of the highlights of Clava Verde was the breathtaking view. Whether we were enjoying a meal on the terrace or relaxing at the pool, the scenery was nothing short of spectacular. Last but not least we want to thank the owner Jonathan! He was incredibly kind, cultured, and full of fascinating stories about his experiences in the Dominican Republic. Taking

“I would highly recommend it! I had an excellent experience.”
+I loved the location and the staff was very nice and friendly. I had the perfect room with patio with the best view & a hammock. The food was delicious, there were a lot of delicious vegan options for each meals. The dining space is beautiful and the owners are often around with an excellent music selection. The view is stunning and the location is extremely peaceful & relaxing, this is exactly what I wanted to start the year. I couldn’t ask for more for a first time in Las Terrenas.
−Nothing was negative honestly. I would say maybe the pool area should be tidy-up a bit more. I wasn’t comfortable to lay down by the pool. The natural setting and the view is amazing though.

“A jungle retreat - rustic and welcoming.”
+The location was amazing, up in the rainforests - this could have been made much clearer in the information for the hotel. While certainly not a disappointment, it was a surprise. The staff were lovely, and attentive, and the live music was an unexpected bonus.
−The overall establishment is a bit rundown and shabby, with very much a DIY aesthetic to it. Unfinished surfaces, rusty items, loose paving stones, irregular steps, etc. It's not about the finishes (the overall feel of the place was great), but rather the care and attention given to the details and finishes of the construction. A little bit of time and skilled local labour applied to this establishment would make it a real gem.

+This ecolodge literally puts you in the center of nature in the rainforest. Plus, the staff is super friendly and knowledgable. The owners are two of the nicest people that you will ever meet. The onsite restaurant is a plus! If you want to eat like the locals, this is your place. This is not your usual hotel. It's located in the hills and it has a rugged charm. Nevertheless, we fully enjoyed the experience and recommend this ecolodge!

“The best tropical experience shared with my brave mum.”
+Is not easy start, because we enjoyed all they offer there , but human quality of Noemi & Jonathan and all the staff, the care they have with the guests, the details and the Nature around, the kitchen and the delicious food (BEST Piña colada 00 alc. ever tasted ) and the sweet dogs (Loba and the old pack) made our days in Samana a one Life experience. If you want enjoy las Terrenas, sun bath and beach lovers should add calm and peace in mornings and evenings in this really special place. I want also mention the good beds, hot showers and delicious breakfast and the impressive green views and songs of tons of birdlife.
−Too short, but sometimes shorter don't mean worse.
