7.0“Peaceful location amongst trees and garden, with comfortable space inside.”
+Gorgeous spot just out of town, surrounded by tall trees and garden, very quiet and tucked away, with entrance to unit via lovely jasmine scented walk from the car, with a few well marked steps. The units/cottages are all in a row but cleverly designed to create privacy for each one, except for the back verandah sitting area, which had screens, but allowed walk through access to anyone. Bed was firm and comfortable, with big screen TV, (although limited channels). Light filled space for the bed area and nice bathroom with good shower. Very clean. A handy table with power points, v useful as desk. This was the Studio Apartment.
−No mobile access. Had to use internet for phonecalls. And this was spotty. Kitchenette - tiny bench space (which disappeared if you plugged in anything electric), no cooktop only a scratched electric frypan and microwave; v small fridge and tiny freezer, which was a problem for me to get cooler blocks refrozen for travel. Pillows were completely flat - luckily I had my own or I don't think I would have slept well. The high windows above the bed have no blinds or curtains, so early morning wake up guaranteed!! The design of the unit meant there was no view out to the trees, only to the little walkway/courtyard, which was well screened from the house up the hill and had little birds to watch in the shurbbery, but it did feel closed in. The automatic light for this would switch on immediately you opened the door or a bird flew past, day and night, and couldn't switch it off. This made it unpleasant to sit outside. I think if I stayed again I would choose one of the bigger apartments.

8.0+It was a nice and quiet location. The chalet was cosy and comfortable, with very comfy beds. We didn’t use the kitchen other than the microwave, but it looked well equipped if you had a longer stay.
−The shower pressure wasn’t great and the water didn’t stay at a constant temperature.

8.0“I liked the nature and the peaceful environment.”
+I loved how it was located in a peaceful quiet environment, surrounded by nature and waking up to the sound of birds singing. I also liked the cleanliness of the place. Also, attention to detail there was unmatched. Finding hidden art pieces both indoors and outdoors brought warmth to the place.

6.0+Location was quiet and nice. No milk was supplied. tea and coffee was supplied.
−Stair access to bed rooms difficult for tall people, as ceiling height low. 2nd bedroom not really a bedroom but a space. Upstairs no toilet available. Shower a slippery difficult climb into the spa for a shower.

10.0“Beautiful, quiet and cosy!”
+Clarendon Chalets was just a few minutes' drive outside of the Mount Gambier but really felt like a relaxing country getaway. The place was roomy and cosy with all the amenities we needed for a relaxing holiday, cooking for ourselves, hanging out around the house without feeling crowded. The view was beautiful and really made the place feel like a getaway. We used the laundry facilities as well, which were a lifesaver during a long roadtrip! There was also a huge bath, which was great after a long day of driving.
−The stove/oven wasn't entirely user-friendly, but I also didn't call and ask for help, so I'm sure the staff would have been able to help if I had rung them.
