“Don't stay here. Staff are thieves.”
+No breakfast. Views were good. Property was run down
−Junior staff member stole close to $1000 from our locked room while we were out to dinner. There were no other guests or staff there at the time. Really put a damper on our trip!

+The hotel has really its own style with nice fourniture. Our two rooms had a direct connection via the balcony which was quite convenient in our case. Location was typically we are looking for, quiet outside Kandy but just at a short tuktuk ride from the "tooth temple". The indian restaurant (the light house) at the bottom of the hill is a good option to get dinner without having to move to Kandy.
−Nothing.... Just be aware that the location is not exactly the right one in PickMe, so if you take a ride there, use the LightHouse as first drop zone indication and ask the driver to go uphill by the small road locatef 50m before (coming from Kandy)

“Oasis away from the Kandy chaos but still close enough to pop into town”
+Beautiful, modern room with great a/c. It's a four storey narrow building but there's a lift should you need it. The views are incredible.
−Not a negative, just note the road to the hotel is extremely steep. Walkable but you need some degree of fitness/mobility. Ensure your driver takes you right to the hotel because it would be very challenging to walk up the hill with luggage. Hotel at the dead end.

“Nice view, not really clean.”
+Very nice view, owner was nice, good water pressure and wifi and we managed to get our laundry done there.
−The balcony door didn't fully close, the bed sounded es if we could fall trough it any second. The room was fairly clean but the bathroom didn't look like it was cleaned at all, especially the sink and the shelf above it. At 7 am in the morning a few bangs of (i believe it was fireworks because i saw smoke blowing away when i looked outside) sounded. We luckily were already awake, otherwise it would definitely have woken us up. The road to the accommodation was really steep, but since you're in the mountains that's quite common and it does give you a nice view.

“Really clean and lovely views”
+The property is super clean and facilities in the room are good - lovely bathroom, air con and fan, tea and coffee facilities in the room. We were even able to get our laundry done here! Lovely balcony and view and the pool is good.
−It would have been great if we could have had breakfast at the hotel. It’s a bit out of town and quite close to the main road - but that’s the price you pay for the view (tuk tuks into town are approx 300R).

“Delightful secret hotel with a pool”
+This is a delightful small hotel run by a charming retired gentleman. It's comfortable and clean even luxurious for the price. And it has a pool! Great value.
−This place is a little out of town and up a steep hill. It's misplaced on Google maps with a difficult name but it's 50m to the "Kandy Royal Resort" - so use this for the tuktuk to find it. (Otherwise they struggle.)
