+Location was great
−If I had known that this was a ensuite bedroom in someone's home, I would not have booked this. The booking.com website mentioned hotel policies, so I assumed I booked a hotel/motel room, with the facilities you would normally expect, that this didn't have. Breakfast supplied was totally unacceptable

+The room was well located and Mary was so lovely. She looked after us and kindly serviced the room every day, accommodating to our needs and lay-ins! Mary was very kind to pick us up from the station, too! The room had all we needed for a short stay, and all toiletries etc provided. The bed was comfy.

“Lovely room with ensuite bathroom in an apartment building”
+The lovely accommodating host, Mary.... who was kind enough to provide transport from the station and back again. Went above and beyond...so friendly. Even kept our milk in her fridge. Room very comfortable and the location very easy to explore Cornwall by train.

“Honest review at Chy Bre Truro”
+Marry phoned the day before asking if we needed a lift to the place which we said we were ok as our train was arriving early before book in time but was a lovely gestor. The room itself was perfect in what you needed for somewhere to just come back to at night and sleep. Bathroom was perfect! Huge mirror, lovely shower/bath and just an overall good size bathroom. The location of the place you stay was literally around the corner to main part of Truro town so very easy to get to the places we needed to go as we lived in Falmouth for 3 years, so we knew where we were going. Summary: -The room itself was very nice. -The bed was comfy and the bathroom was the best part. With the shower being very relaxing to use and an overall lovely big bathroom. - Marry was very sweet - Location was perfect!
−Sad to say there was a few things that we didn't like about this stay. We were first thrown off guard that it was literally her guess bedroom in a little flat. No where on the booking.com page reads or advertises this! We assumed that this bedroom was like a private hotel type thing by just looking at the page. The hallway in the flat itself is very small so if someone or Marry was in the hall and spoke it was very loud. The rooms and walls where quite tight and thin so we felt like we couldn't really talk at a normal volume as we didn't want to be rude as we are a very respectful couple/guests. Another thing not advertised is that she comes into your room each morning and cleans. This might be a benefit for a few people which is great, however for us this isn't really a feature we liked as it would lead to her touching our stuff. My partner and I are quite clean/tidy people anyways so each time we left the room we would always straighten up the room, make the bed and clean behind us as that's just how we live anyway. +The hospitality of our wonderful hostess. Comfortable bed, good shower. secure parking and central location in Truro. There was much to like.
−The only crit .... the slow draining of the handbasin. I use a wet shave every morning and require a full basin of water.

“Lovely comfortable accommodation in Truro”
+Lovely comfortable accommodation near Truro city centre. Mary was an excellent host recommending places to go and restaurants to try . ( Even picking us up and dropping us at the train station.)

“Gute Lage jedoch Gästezimmer in Privatwohnung”

−- das Zimmer befindet sich nicht in einem klassischen Gästehaus. Es handelt sich um das Gästezimmer der Dame in ihrer Erdgeschosswohnung. Dies ist auf Booking.com nicht vermerkt, wir hätten es jedoch gerne vor der Buchung gewusst. So waren wir sehr überrascht, dass wir Gäste (dementsprechend auch die einzigen) in ihrer Wohnung sind. - Frühstück wurde im Zimmer bereitgestellt und sollte dort auch verzehrt werden. (Siehe Foto) - auf den ersten Blick wirkt alles sehr sauber und ordentlich, bei genauerem Hinsehen sind jedoch, vorallem unter dem Waschbecken und unter der Decke, viel Staub und auch einige Spinnen (siehe Bilder) - bei Anreise informierte uns die Gastgeberin, dass sie um 10:30 kommt, um unser Zimmer zu reinigen. Wir sind einen Tag früher als ursprünglich geplant, gegen 8:30, abgereist. In dem Wissen, dass sie um 10:30 das Zimmer reinigen wird, wollten wir ihr vorher noch eine Nachricht schicken, um sie über unsere frühere Abreise zu informieren. Bereits um 9:00 Uhr erhielt ich jedoch einen Anruf der Gastgeberin, dass sie gerade im Zimmer gewesen sei, wobei sie bemerkt hätte, das unser Gepäck weg ist.
