“An average & affordable stay in an expensive area”
+While Chestnuts is a good value for expensive Bourton-on-the-Water, the accommodations were somewhat disappointing. The location is terrific and the breakfast was tasty, but there is minimal hospitality compared to other places we stayed across England. The room was a little dated and the bed wasn’t our favorite; and the shower temperature was hard to fine-tune; it was either hot or cold.

+The property was in the town centre and close to the river, Birsland the motor museum, plenty of places to eat out. However there were stairs to climb, awkward for my sister in law. The rooms were adequate but the building was dated. The staff however were excellent. Mandy (?) was brilliant, friendly, helpful even though she was always busy she found time to talk and tell us about local places.

+A lovely property and wonderful service.location was perfect. Our only grumble is the shower. In our opinion it would suit better for the shower head to be mobile rather than a fixed head. Also the flow was not great. Everything else was perfect 😄

+Very old building. So old musky smell. Tiny bathroom. No air con. Service and staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Location is good but would find some where a little more updated.

+The hotel was located right on the Main Street and o we looked the river, that’s fabulous. The room was nice BUT NO A/C and our days and nights were in the 80s! The breakfast was lovely and a full English breakfast. They only have 4 parking spots, so beware! Parking every 90 mins was tricky. But after 6pm, shoppes closed. Must move car 8am! So, travel by train, then do the hiking. It worked out and we have a fabulous time
