+Fantastic location. Comfortable room. Very clean. Wonderful staff, particularly Harry, who was an absolute star 🌟. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Malton.

+Central location in Malton. Room was small but adequate
−With a two night stay we expected the room to serviced. The ‘clean my room’ notice was left on the door but to no affect. No cleaning and no replenishment of tea bags so cup of tea possible on the second morning - very disappointing

+Our second stay here, a lovely large airy room, lovely quirky decor and a very comfortable bed.
−Would have liked a couple more teabags, there was lots of coffee but only two teabags - I don't drink coffee. Other than that - perfect!

+The location was good. Unfortunately a food festival was in progress for that weekend so parking was difficult but the staff were very helpful and allowed us to park in an area reserved for staff.

“Let down”
+The room was clean and nicely decorated
−The manager was swearing at me because I used some power without asking her. I apologized because I was stressed out and forgot to ask. I didn't use much and I paid her for it. She had a rant at me because I told her that the tv in the room wasn't working. She shouldn't be speaking to her guests like that even if she's stressed out. I paid £200 for the room, which she wasn't prepared to reduce when I told her. The tv should have been checked prior to us coming and replaced. £200 is too much for this place and it's just for the room I went to order a drink from the bar. I wanted a cocktail she put the menu down and didn't tell me that she wasn't doing cocktails anymore. Yes the bar was busy but she and her staff ignored us and served people who were coming to order after us. After what seemed like half an hour, her staff only served me when I got upset about waiting for so long and being ignored. She was also rude to me. The stairs where difficult for me to keep climbing they don't have a lift or anyone to help with luggage The shower was very tiny and made it difficult to shower

“Little gem in the heart of Malton.”
+Central location, free parking nearby. Friendly welcome. Clean, comfortable, decent sized towels. Accommodation is separate from the main building with its own entrance. Quiet.
−It was chilly despite it being warm outside. Central heating didn't come on but there was a freestanding heater.
