+The Staff and overall food were all amazing along with the inhouse tea shop and waterfall were something new that we havent seen in any other resort. It was peace and quiet, a beautiful place for a relaxation and to unwind.

“Misty Valley Views and Cozy Rainy Days”
+Chandis Hotel offers the perfect Munnar getaway. The unique stepped-terrace design gives you stunning, distinct vantage points of the valley from different levels. Our favorite part was simply sitting by the window and balcony, watching the spectacular dance of clouds and fog moving across the landscape. It rained for most of our stay, but the excellent facilities and cozy, panoramic views turned the rainy weather into a beautiful, relaxing highlight. Great location and fantastic hospitality!
−Our only minor preference would be having a buffet option for dinner instead of just à la carte, which would add a bit more variety and speed to the evening meals. It's a small detail in an otherwise fantastic stay!

“Most of the staff were good. But some of them need more training from the management.”
+Property was quite clean.
−Driving to the property was a bit confusing. Parking and unloading was challenging. Moving from one location to another inside the building was confusing. The person answering questions before my arrival was not cooperative to the special request.

“Excellent view and good experience at Windy Woods”
+Chandy’s Windy Woods was well located with a beautiful view from the outdoor restaurant terrace and the bedroom balconies. We breathed a huge sigh of relief upon reaching the property where it was 25 degrees F cooler than in Kochi. The hotel offers many free activities including a walk through the tea plantation, a cooking demo, and tea time in a subterranean artificial shack. The latter is strangely located beneath one of the hotel blocks and can only be reached by the path that winds through the artificial waterfall construction. Give it a miss. The cooking demonstration, on the other hand, was excellent! Pradeep, Prasad, and chef Karthik were wonderful and treated us to a cooking demo both nights, allowing us to cook and eat the fruits of our labor. If you do this and like spicy food, make sure to tell them, as if you are not Indian they will assume that you don’t, resulting in a rather bland dish. The chicken biryani that we ordered for dinner the first night was properly spiced and absolutely delicious. A huge plus of the hotel is the game room, where we played ping pong, pool, and foosball.
−The layout of the hotel must have been designed by a sadist. Switching elevators every block is quite cumbersome and the labels don’t necessarily correspond to the signage in the corridors. If it were up to us, we would eliminate the artificial waterfall and the accompanying annoying animal/bird sounds. The second night there was loud music from the restaurant terrace, but after complaining a few times the shut it down.
