+We were very happy with our stay! The accommodation is in a very convenient location, with easy access to public transport and quite close to the main bus station. This made it much easier for us to get around and enjoy the excursions we had planned.

“Brief but good.”
+The closeness to the train station and room 2 was beautiful with tall cieling and a beautiful balcony access. The check in was so simple.
−The neighborhood was not clean and seemed very run down. Rm 4 was horrible with a small narrow staircase leading to it from the kitchen, the only window showed a small blocked in area showing other windows, the nasty smell when you open the main access door downstairs. This main door is a shared space with other Apts and is not controlled or cleaned by this booking host.

“If you want to waste your money, book it.”
+The only positive point about this property is 5min of walking to the catania central station.
−I didn’t receive the check-in instructions before my arrival, so I had to call twice, but no one answered. After a while, I finally received the instructions by message. A used and dirty blanket from the previous guests was left in the wardrobe, and there was no clean one available. There was no soap in the bathroom, the container was broken , the towels were used, and the room felt damp and stuffy. The only window , as well as the bathroom windows , opened into a dark inner void of the building, full of mosquitoes. There was absolutely no real airflow or fresh air inside the room. The staircase to the room was extremely narrow , it was almost impossible to carry luggage upstairs. The doors were thin and noisy, and you could hear every sound from the shared area. Around 2 AM, someone was banging and struggling with a door lock for almost half an hour , it honestly felt like someone was trying to break in. Overall, this place was an absolute waste of money, even for a single night before a flight.

+Location and communication was pretty good. Sheets and towels were clean. Breakfast was ok but it's out of the building in bakery nearby which is not emphasize.
−Bathroom is horrible, shower falls only from the wall 🚿 it was difficult to take a good shower also is impossible to clean shower cabin and the mold was everywhere. Toilet seat was broken. The whole apartment (and building in general) requires BIG renovation; furniture is damaged, walls are dirty, decorative pillows are very dirty. Wifi has a poor signal. There is no space to dry swimsuits or towels etc.

+The good things were having a room in a decent location, not much else.
−Staff couldn't speak English or didn't explain properly how things worked, the bed wasn't great, I could hear everything in my room, so if people were using the kitchen downstairs at 11 o'clock at night or coming into their rooms at past midnight, which they did every night, it woke me up. This is just a budget place so expect what you get for that price I suppose.

“Pleasant”
+I liked the self check in and had a perfect communication with the owner, who was always immediately available. The room was basic but at a lower price too. Good A/C, nice bathroom and always hot water. Very quiet day and night.
−The location is not great. It is near the railway station and a metro station but not really near anything else. On the way to the historic centre you go through a sex working district, which did not bother me at all but might not be to everyone's taste. The room was is three flights of stairs up, so a bit of extra workout. Inside the room is small, very low ceiling and felt a bit tight. It certainly is not for tall people. There is a window, but looks to a depressing ventilation shaft. The shower hose needs replacing and the shower door needs attention. Small leaks from the shower onto the floor. The bed is rather small and the bamboo headboard could do with a better cleaning. The shared fridge in the kitchen needs a good cleaning.

“A perfect place to explore Catania”
+The room was small but it has basic things I needed like private bathroom and communal kitchen. The location is perfect, 300 metres to the train station and the was surrounded by shops and eateries. The owner was prompt in responding to any request.
