“Meeting Ana was the best part,everything else was just icing on the cake.”
+The home is traditional and showcases beautiful cultural aspects of Muramureş. Ana was so lovely, and we enjoyed getting to talk with her. We would recommend the half-board option just for that reason alone, but she is also an amazing cook, and the food was delicious! The room itself was great. Despite being traditional, it was filled with all of the amenities that Americans like us would expect, and the shower was pretty neat. Outside the house, they had set up a traditional water well, a nice handmade swinging bench, and a large bale of hay (again, set up traditionally). This is a great house if you want to immerse yourself in the culture of Maramureş, or just to have a retreat away from the normal rhythms of life. The town of Breb, small and quaint, was a breath of fresh air to walk around in. Maybe a little touristy in spots, but still very rural Maramureş. We enjoyed visiting the local woodcarver.

+Authentic house with the kindest host, Anisoara. Can’t recommend this place enough . If you come to Breb, Casa Veche is the place to be. We will come back for sure :)

“Cudowne miejsce”
+Absolutnie cudowne, unikalne miejsce! zakwaterowanie w tradycyjnym drewnianym domu, odrestaurowanym z dbałością o szczegóły i wygodę gości, piękny, folklorystyczny wystrój. Piękne położenie z cudownym widokiem, zadbany ogród. Niesamowita gościnność gospodarzy, Ana to cudowna kobieta z wielkim sercem, która dla gości wychodzi na przeciw w każdej sprawie i chce jak najbardziej umilić pobyt. Jej kuchnia to najlepsze domowe jedzenie, jakie jadłam kiedykolwiek w Rumunii (a to moja 6 wycieczka) a przepyszne, robione z lokalnych produktów. Jednego dnia zrobiła nawet dla nas kosz piknikowy:) Jednym słowem, niesamowite miejsce, można naprawdę odpocząć, wyciszyć się, naładować baterie, nacieszyć pięknem przyrody, pysznym jedzeniem i gościnnością!

+Am avut o vacanță superbă în Maramureș la Casa Veche din Breb, unde totul a fost impecabil de curat și plin de farmec. Gazda noastră, Anișoara, ne-a primit ca în familie și ne-a răsfățat cu mâncare absolut delicioasă, gătită cu suflet.

“Highly recommend for a lovely stay in Maramures.”
+We had the most wonderful stay at Casa Veche Breb! Ana was such a gracious and accommodating host. We are so glad we took her up on her offer for breakfasts and dinners. She put out huge, delicious breakfast spreads and yummy authentic 3-course dinners for us and we really enjoyed being able to spend time with her and her family. The location is idilyic and peaceful; the room is spacious and very comfortable. We felt like we'd made new friends and were sad to leave!
