+The apartment had everything you needed as if you were in your own home, it was great to have big kitchen so I could cook instead of going out, the apartment was a great size and the big TV was a bonus when I wanted a night in, I will definitely come back and stay here again it was such a nice change than a hotel.
−The walls are a little thin so you can hear other guests a times but it didn’t disrupt my stay at all.

“A Memorable Stay on a Truly Amazing Island”
+Madeira is a truly beautiful island, and Casa Valhalla turned out to be a very pleasant base for exploring it. I spent my days hiking through some of the island’s most spectacular landscapes and my afternoons and evenings discovering Funchal, and it was always nice to come back to a quiet and relaxed place. The staff were excellent. They were genuinely friendly, helpful and exceptionally responsive , whenever I sent a message, I received a quick and helpful reply. Communication throughout my stay was simply excellent. I especially appreciated the warm and uncomplicated atmosphere of the house. Everything was straightforward and well organised, and I felt very welcome throughout my stay. Casa Valhalla was a good part of my Madeira experience, and I would happily stay there again.
−The main thing I missed was air conditioning. Madeira can be very humid, and during my stay the weather remained humid throughout. After hiking or walking around the island, I often returned to the house feeling quite wet from the humidity, and an air-conditioning system or an effective dehumidifier would have made the room considerably more comfortable. This was probably the only significant comfort-related issue I noticed during my stay, as the house itself was otherwise very pleasant and well suited for exploring the island. The approach to the house is also very steep, particularly along Calçada da Encarnação and Rua de Santa Luzia. This is not really a criticism of the location, but it is definitely something worth knowing in advance, especially if you are arriving with heavy luggage. The steep streets are part of the character of the area, but they can be demanding on foot, particularly after a long day of hiking or sightseeing. A rental car or taxi can be a practical alternative, especially when carrying bags or arriving for the first time.

“Pesadilla de terror”
+La gran pesadilla de mi pareja y la mía. La habitación está en un sótano. No tiene ventilación. Debería estar prohibido alquilar algo así. La habitación llena de humedades. Se escucha todo de las demás habitaciones. Ni a mi peor enemigo le recomiendo esta habitación.
