−A strong sewage odor emanates from the bathroom which impacted the comfort of the room The shower door was missing Handle The breakfast was extremely limited and pure And sink area in the kitchen that was the breakfast place was not clean The stairs in entrance are unlit and lack handrails

“Comfortable & convenient”
+The room was great, good facilities, good variety at breakfast. & quiet. Gorgeous views from the patio. Close to town for meals but away from the noise & bustle. Good recommendations for restaurants. Taormina is a beautiful town & I wish we'd had more time there.
−No parking, but we were able to arrange valet parking for the car.

“Low key, no frills B&B outside the centre.”
+Cute, private terrace attached to my room and lovely sea view. Aircon worked well and was quiet.
−Location not ideal as it is a solid 15 minute walk from town on a narrow street. Note that taxis to / from here are nearly impossible to get. Plus, you have to be dropped off on the street above as B&B front door is not accessible by car; only foot and down steep stairs. If you have heavy luggage it’s inconvenient. Continental breakfast below average. Two of the four mornings boiled eggs were gone and not replenished. Some of the fruit on buffet looked like it came from a can!? Greasy deli meats and weird cheese. Surprising as the area is known for its fresh food & beautiful produce. My room was decent size, but had zero charm: it was very spartan / bare; no art on walls, old furniture. Pillows too firm. Rickety chairs. One tiny bottle of cheap body wash in bathroom , good thing I brought my own toiletries. Tiny shower stall (and I’m not a big person). Thin bath towels. Noise in the mornings , Could hear other guests in hallways chatting. Didn’t use the pool as no pool towels?? For $175USD per night I expected a lot more. “A lovely stay in Taormina”
+We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Pertosa, the property is in a quiet location about a 10 minute walk from the centre of Taormina. Nice quiet pool area and the views from our balcony were amazing. Thank you for a lovely stay!
−Feels like I'm being really picky, but the only thing I can think of is that there weren't any glasses in the room for water. There were 2 paper cups in the room on arrival. I had left one out to use again, but it was thrown away and not replaced.

+Great location, close to the centre of town and the cablecars about a 10 minute walk. Great host.
−Few hills but the whole area is. If driving, I would recommend a small car as the streets are very small

“Leider sehr enttäuschend”
+Es liegt relativ nah am Zentrum, man muss aber trotzdem sehr gut zu Fuß sein! Die Gastgeberin war freundlich.
−Die Unterkunft ist insgesamt sehr in die Jahre gekommen und dringend renovierungsbedürftig. Im ersten Zimmer ließ sich die Balkontür nicht verriegeln, sodass jeder ungehindert hätte hinein- und hinausgehen können. Nachdem wir dies reklamiert hatten, wurde uns das Nachbarzimmer zugewiesen. Auch dort waren mehrere Mängel vorhanden: Die Halterung der Duschbrause war defekt, sodass man die Brause nicht mehr aufhängen konnte. Zudem waren die Duschablage für Shampoo und der Toilettenpapierhalter nur noch am seidenen Faden befestigt. Der Poolbereich war aufgrund der extrem vielen Mücken kaum nutzbar, sodass entspanntes Liegen dort nahezu unmöglich war. Besonders enttäuschend war das Frühstück. Teilweise wurden offensichtlich alte, verdorbene Früchte, ausgetrocknetes Brot sowie Gebäck und Wurst- und Käseaufschnitt offenbar über mehrere Tage hinweg erneut angeboten. Die Qualität und Frische der Lebensmittel waren absolut inakzeptabel und entsprachen keinesfalls unseren Erwartungen. Insgesamt waren wir von der Sauberkeit, dem Zustand der Unterkunft und insbesondere der Qualität des Frühstücks sehr enttäuscht. Für uns steht das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis in keinem angemessenen Verhältnis zur
