+We spent two wonderful days at Casa Hera and can highly recommend it. The whole place has been created with a lot of care, warmth, and attention to detail, which makes it feel very special from the moment you arrive. One of the highlights was the breakfast. The selection was excellent, everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and clearly prepared with great care. It was easily one of the best breakfasts we have had during our travels. The pool is lovely, and the atmosphere offers a perfect balance between privacy and a relaxed, welcoming environment. The house is about a 15-minute walk from the beach, which we found totally ok. Diani Beach itself is a wonderful destination, offering both relaxation and plenty of opportunities to explore for those who want a bit more than just a beach holiday.
−The only small downside for us was that the mattresses were a bit firm.

−Its a little far from the beach and its not safe to get out after sunset. Plus not a lot to do at the property unless there are other guests staying.

−- staff did not greet - staff only cleaned room 1 out of 2 days and did a sloppy job (bin not emptied, no new toilet paper provided, etc.) - fresh milk for coffee was explicitly advertised but was never available unless asking for it for breakfast - breakfast was very disappointing both in quantity and quality - earliest breakfast time is 8:30 (very late!), and one time, it was provided with 50 min delay

+My sister and I did not stay here long enough to develop a preference for anything. The location is not as described and I would not be confident in their meals. H.O.R.R.I.B.L.E to say the least!!
−On September 9, 2024, I was the victim of a fraudulent transaction involving a property valued at over $200. The Kenyan owner of the property provided an inaccurate description of its location, which is significantly far from the main road and situated in a remote area with poor cellular network coverage and very questionable security measures. Upon arrival at the property, which had been booked through Booking.com, my sister and I immediately recognized that it was not suitable for our stay due to safety concerns. We immediately requested for a refund, even a partial refund but this was denied vehemently by the owner so we sought alternative accommodation since it was getting dark. It is important to note that the rooms lack private showers and toilets, instead relying on shared bathroom facilities reminiscent of a high school dormitory. Additionally, the pool was in an unsanitary condition when we arrived at 4:30 p.m. In light of our negative experience, I strongly advise against booking this property, particularly for young women, due to the potential safety risks posed by the surrounding environment, which includes tall, unkempt bushes.
