“Amazing spot... Lucky if you get a spot here !”
+Loved the location and listening to the ocean all night long. Great outside sitting for the evening diner/drinks. Very well supplied kitchen. Lots of small decorations to add ocean life charm. The shower was huge. Loved the colours and painting too in it. They did have a bbq but it takes a bit to figure out how to get the charcoal going. Host was great with all supplies for bbq... Maybe we needed a lesson from him on how to get it going better. Bed was comfy with many pillows. It's a BIG room which is awesome. Location for us was amazing as it was quiet and away from the busier town areas. Wanted to stay an extra night but he was booked up. We felt lucky to get this place with a last min booking. Host was great to chat with as were people we met from another unit there. Friendly dog who sat with us outside a couple times.
−Nothing to not like here for us traveling as a couple.

“A great place to relax and listen to the ocean”
+We had a great time at Casa do Cais. Roger - the host - met us personally during the check-in, which was a very nice touch. He showed us the house which not only was very comfy, but had several artefacts reminding that it once was a working building in a busy port of the Pico island. The house had everything we needed, and we really enjoyed the views and sound of the ocean. We were lucky to visit during the period when shearwaters (the birds) were present, it was very interesting to hear their calls in the evening. Roger also told us a bit about these birds because he likes them too. All of this combined ensured a magical stay for us.
−When showering in the morning, we had to wait a few minutes before water turned hot. And the Wi-Fi signal was quite weak (maybe the router needs to be replaced?). This could have been better, but didn't spoil our overall experience.

+The location is absolutely beautiful! Only a few minutes away from Madalena you feel like you are in your own peaceful bubble. The sunsets directly in front of the house were beautiful. All the work the owner put into his accommodation himself the last years really paid off. He created a magical place! Would always recommend :)
