“Gorgeous boutique hotel in the heart of Lisbon”
+Casa do Barão is exactly what you hope a boutique hotel will be and rarely is. From the moment we arrived, it felt less like checking into a room and more like being welcomed into someone’s home. The terrace alone is worth the stay. Lush, green, and gorgeous, it’s the kind of space that makes you slow down and actually be somewhere. We had breakfast there every morning: fresh bread, good food, and just enough quiet to ease into the day before heading out into the city. The rooms are clean and well kept, but what gives the hotel its character is the history woven into every corner. You can feel that this building has a story, and the people running it clearly care about telling it well. The staff were warm and genuinely attentive without being intrusive, exactly the right balance. Chiado is the perfect base for exploring Lisbon on foot, and Casa do Barão puts you right in the heart of it. If you want a hotel that reflects the real spirit of this city, not just a place to sleep, this is it.

“This guest house is a gem in Lisbon. The staff were so welcoming and attentive. I would go back.”
+Amazing homemade breakfast with plenty of options and beautiful homemade cakes available throughout the day. A warm and welcoming environment that makes you feel like you are staying in a lovely home.
−The beds were very comfortable but the pillows were a little too soft for me personally. That's not a complaint, just personal preference.

“Very enjoyable.”
+Quirky, we had a lovely room with a garden and sea view. The home-made breakfast was lovely and the staff were super-helpful. The property is in prime location and we loved it.
−We did think it was a little over-priced.

“Lovely ambience”
+Owners/reception people charming, helpful and very friendly. Pleasant garden and cosy seating areas. Help-yourself cake and port! Upmarket intimate pensione ambience rather than sanitised large hotel
−Not a big problem but a larger, or extra coffee machine at breakfast wouldn’t go amiss!

“We were delighted to fall upon such a warm , welcoming hotel with charming staff .”
+We LOVED the way the hotel was decorated , especially the lounges - very welcoming and how generous to have a glass of port and delicious cakes for the guests . Madeline was So charming and the shining light . She advised us well with the added information regarding restaurants and other queries we had . Please thank her again from us .We loved the outdoor area / garden for relaxing and breakfast .
−No fridge in our room … and the wardrobe was too short and no hooks to hang longer garments .. otherwise we loved it all .
