“Good”
+The room was lovely plenty of room. There is a huge spa which you have to climb into to have a shower. If you are an older person, this could be difficult. There is a tram & bus line close by also the port.

“No.”
+Nothing
−I asked the host repeatedly about parking and received vague answers. I asked again when I was near the property and could not find parking anywhere. I asked 3 times, expressing my growing frustration. Still no help from the host until after nearly an hour driving in circles. I had already told them that I would forfeit my nights there because I could not find parking and received no help. It was only when I said I was leaving Messina that the host actually did something, finding a parking place. At that point, I was already 20 minutes away from the property, looking for another place to stay. I would NOT recommend this site to anyone. And, it is more than a mile from anything. There must be more reasons Rick Steves does not even mention Messina in his Sicily guidebook.

“It was near the boarding pier that goes from messina to calabria”
+The bed was comfortable and tv had Netflix. The owner is very attentive and friend.
−Hairs on bed. The bathroom is claustrophobic (small).

“Reasonably priced stopover but not a great location”
+We stayed at Casa deli stretto as a stopover before catching the ferry tot the islands and chose it in part because it’s close to the port. It is reasonably priced and the room has the facilities we expected, however still a distance from where the ferries leave.
−The apartment is not in a good location - the street is unpleasant and the entrance to building is unwelcoming. We arrived late and there were no lights on in the building nor could we find a light switch. The room was clean but had a slightly stale smell as if someone had been smoking there.

+Tutto pulito, moderno, funzionale.
