+It was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Has old huspanic charm. There was a working jacuzzi tub. Cute folded towels and wash cloths.
−Many things are worn out I am afraid. Wifi did not work. There is no beverage vending machine. The ice machine was either broken or I happened to always time it when it was out of ice Limited front desk hours.

“Management should upgrade furniture to achieve a better rating”
+The mexican archtecture, mostly single floor. This clearly differentiates Cas del Sol from other typical and standard motels
−The room and bathroom furniture is on the cheap side.

“Avoid if you can.”
+The staff were attentive.
−A few of the rooms were people living in them full time, which meant there was a lot of stuff in the hallways and cars being worked on in the parking lot. The AC was really loud. There was a cockroach running around on the floor. The bathroom is fine, appears very dated. The sheets were old and stained.

−Rooms are extremely small. For a $378 room you would expect a certain size and cleanliness. The room was infested with ants. The tub was dirty and the bed is on wheels and extremely uncomfortable. Won't visit again

“Outside looks better than inside. It's fine for me, but I wouldn't bring someone here”
+Location was awesome, super close to multiple beaches and the cute downtown part of the city. Scenic trails nearby. Breakfast was okay. Good value because it includes breakfast and bikes. The bikes were great and I loved riding them around the neighborhood. Cute outside eating areas. Lobby has been decorated with a fun, eclectic theme.
−Bed was very soft. Water in the shower didn't get very warm. Some furniture in the room was broken. Maintenance guy was parked in my spot and I had to move my car 3 times to accommodate him. Check the bikes before you ride off, one was a bit dodgey (no rear brakes and the handlebars needed to be tightened-- the kept moving down while in motion.) I don't think anyone is checking these bikes for safety routinely. I only saw 3 helmets and 1 lock between 4 bikes.

−Very Disappointing Experience - Would Never Stay Here Again Unfortunately, our stay at this motel was a terrible experience from start to finish. The bed smelled so bad that we were glad we had brought our own sheets, blanket, and pillows. The air conditioner also had an unpleasant smell, so we had to buy an air freshener just to make the room bearable. To make matters worse, we saw cockroaches roaming around the floor and even near the bedside table. The cleanliness and condition of the room were unacceptable. The situation became even more stressful because the motel appears to be in the same compound as residential apartments. People staying there parked illegally near our designated parking spot, blocking our way. While slowly backing up, our car made very slight contact with theirs. Despite the minimal contact, the other people gave us a hard time and threatened us, even calling my husband “cabron.” Their car already had numerous dents and visible damage, but the situation escalated and left us feeling frightened and unsafe. What made this experience even worse was the complete lack of assistance from motel management. We repeatedly tried calling the motel, but nobody answered

“Good value for our needs!”
+Convenient location for our needs. Comfortable room with appropriate beds for our group. Air conditioning worked great during a heat wave. Loved the patio garden area to sit outdoors for coffee & breakfast .
−Very limited breakfast with no staff available. Self service during our stay. Did not appreciate the automatic shut off & on for lights & fan in bathroom. Annoying to keep turning back on repeatedly.
