9.0“A lovely relaxing week of rest. Walks to the town for breakfast and for dinner .”
+We liked the quiet and beauty of the place. A lovely pool and superb views. We never did have the breakfast as we preferred to walk down to the village for excellent breakfast
−The only thing that could be better is the lighting in the room. Better reading lights besides the bed on both sides.

9.0“Luxury retreat, and amazing place to do nothing!”
+The view was stunning! The pool and lounge area overlooking the beach and horizon was unbeatable. Access to the shared kitchen was appreciated
−We were told that we could have breakfast at the property on our second day but when it came to it we were told it wasn’t available

10.0“A very special place to stay!”
+We loved it all. The view was stunning and we didn’t want to leave. The pool was lush and everything was spotless. We felt miles away from anywhere but it was really only a 15 minute walk to the beach down this jungle pathway which brought you out to a stunning part of San Agustinillo beach. Or else you can catch the little local bus into ‘town’ for 15 pesos which was super fun.
−Being that bit further out meant that there was nothing around to go to eat so felt a bit trapped but they did arrange some local food to be delivered. Only complaint would be that we asked for breakfast on a couple of days and they said they couldn’t do it for some reason which meant we had to go into town. Fruit and eggs shouldn’t be hard to get in so not sure what the problem was. Apart from that, absolutely no complaints.

9.0“Wonderful house with a great ocean view!”
+The house is located on a hill, which provides a beautiful ocean view. There’s a swimming pool overlooking the ocean, and our room on the top floor had a terrace facing the ocean as well. The room is spacious and comfortable. The staff is friendly though if you don’t speak Spanish, it could be a challenge to communicate with them. Overall, great place to stay!
−Since it is on a hill, one might find it difficult to get to the towns of San Agustinillo and Mazunte on foot. We walked down a few times, but once we found a taxi or collectivo, it was easy to go between the house and towns. It seemed many tourists rent a motorcycle as well.

5.0“Beautiful view but disappointing "AirBnB"”
+Beautiful view
−Poor reception from the staff, who couldn't speak a word of English. We had to hold the phone ourselves and translate. No smiles or welcoming attitude. Additionally, the two European owners live on the top floor, host private dinners in the common areas, and tend to "fill" the space, making it feel more like staying with a couple than at a 5-star hotel, as it is marketed on booking.com. It is important to emphasize, however, that the owners are friendly people. Casa Cometa is more like a guesthouse/Airbnb, where you rent a room but do not have access to a shared kitchen, and you need to ask for permission to get things from the fridge. There are ants all over the room and it is not very well insulated. Furthermore, the air conditioning does not work in the bathroom, making it extremely hot and humid after a shower. This particularly applies to the "Balcony Suite" where we stayed. Casa Cometa has the potential to be a really nice hotel, but it does not quite live up to expectations. You need to rent a scooter, ATV or have a car for the Guesthouse to be a convenient accommodation as there is no other way to get there by taxi or walk through completely dark streets.
