−It is far from everything. Restaurant distance is not walkable. Owner will taxi you to a local, very good, restaurant for $20.

“Idyllic peaceful retreat”
+Casa Alexandre is in a beautiful hillside location, with stunning views, next to a dairy farm, just off the Camino. Alexandre is the most gracious host. He allowed us to do our laundry. He took us to a local restaurant Alta Maria, for dinner (€20 return), which was excellent. You can buy beer (€2 with crisps or nuts), wine, soft drinks. Complimentary water on arrival. There are sun loungers on a terrace and lots of outside furniture to relax on. You can buy breakfast for €14pp. Very clean, including the shared bathroom which had a wonderful powerful shower. I recommend and would stay here again. Thank you for your kindness Alexandre.
−When we stayed, it was very hot (34 degrees). There was no fan in the room and due to the countryside location, you can only sleep with the window open if you bring earplugs; the neighbourhood dogs are outside barking all night, and Alexandre's rooster wakes up before sunrise. There are only a couple of restaurants in Balugaes and no shops for groceries or supplies. There are no cooking facilities, or kettle/coffee.

“Hermoso lugar”
+Hermoso lugar, paisaje y la atención del dueño muy buena. Muy atento y nos llevó a un supermercado en su auto, ya que estaba lejos y no había otra opción para comprar comida. Lugar limpio

+Gostei muito da minha estadia. Destaco a excelente limpeza, o conforto, a paisagem maravilhosa e a simpatia e atenção no atendimento com o proprietário. Foi uma experiencia muito agradável.
−O único ponto menos positivo foi não haver pequeno almoço incluído na estadia. Ter essa opção teria tornado a experiencia ainda mais completa.

+Alexandre war ein überaus freundlicher und zuvorkommender Gastgeber! Ich war deutlich vor der offiziellen CheckinZeit da, was aber trotzdem kein Problem war. Leider habe ich den Fehler begangen, sein sehr lecker aussehendes und reichhaltiges Frühstück auszuschlagen. Das wird mir beim nächsten Besuch garantiert nicht mehr passieren :-)
